@rschumacher1767 Of course, that is until they've fully computerized these vehicles to act on their own. It has been done before and good soldiers/pilots/sailors paid with their life. :)
@pimprussi out think it, be unpredictable. KNOW your enemy as well or better than himself and exploit his strengths to make them weakness and their weakenesses into cato's. same as human piloted.
you have no idea of the Power a Pissed off American Air Force General or US Navy Admiral do ya kid...lol
you do realize of course that Russia actually quite that Berkut fad and is now Praying to the Gods of War that the T-50 Pak Fa can possibly stand a chance against American F-22's...lol
@SERIIOUS24 Its always possible but I am quite sure that there are so many safety systems built in that you would likely have to be an absolute insider to hack this. Unlike internet based programs I would imagine this has its own unique computer language you would have to learn before you could even get it to interface with anything else, let alone hack into it. Probably has a self destruct if it loses its official signal for too long too Id imagine (thats what Id put on it anyway LOL)
Plenty of drones have carried out sorties in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. One of the Taliban's top leaders was killed by a drone strike last summer. As far as I know, none of NATOs drones have ever been 'hacked' midflight and turned on their operators.
I would bet that only a select group of countries have that capability. Even with that I am sure that the manufacturers have thought of that if not the military themselves.
It's a close match, obviously built by two different manufacturers. BAE versus Northrop Grumman. I don't think the Taranis is flying yet as to the X 47B which is slated for Carrier Landing trials some time next year.
I think these are the reason people see "UFOs" I would freak out if I never heard of these things then see them flying over my house in the middle of the night.
kallen dude f-117a is steath aircraft its not supposed to be seen forget being shot down .. if u fly stealth aircraft u must know.. if u can be seen by the enemy ur not steath thats the whole concept of stealth not being a target but targeting the enemy stats are way different can u justify a 170Million dollar aircraft lost but a 100 thousand dollar missile!..look at my comment i have said f-117a clearly that to an outdated soviet sam!
Well yes, you american developing aircraft you think about they are invisible to radars and locators, you've spent a billions to develop that technology, then ours - Czech - engineers developed (for fraction of that costs) two radio locators. Older Tamara and quite brand new Vera which are able to locate your multi billion aircraft, those systems are mounted on ordinary lories and practically untargetable because they are almost passive.
How am i making a fool out of myself when im just saying i wanted Boeing to win? what do i need to google that about? Boeings craft and northrop grummans craft were competing for a navy contract and this one was the victor. theres no need to google anything, I work for these people.
i would not be optimistic about stealth 1) russia never shares its best technology even with its allies 20 F-117a was shotdown by serbs which had inferior soviet weaponry
the consect of UCav is good tough altough preditor drones are more practical than the ucav shown which is still adesign on paper and animation
Check your stats on the number of F-117 that were shot down as I was a Crew Chief for the F-117 at Hollaman AFB. The radar avoidance technology shown in the begining of the Video is the same used on the F-117. I'm sure you know this since you refer to it as a F-117 instead of a F-17 the F-15 and F-16 also have the preseeding number 1 f-115 and f-116 or the f-111 which I went to the retirment ceromonies for the AC at Cannon AFB
No russian missile defense system is capable of picking up stealth aircraft nor has it ever been. Nor do they have any weapons platforms or aircraft that can match the technology of the F-22 or this weapons system shown here. Not even close. Anything said to the contrary is ridiculous.
Ignore the commie sympathizers. The X-47B makes the F-22 look like a joke. Cheaper and better stealth. The first X-47B will land on a Carrier in late '10. She is passing tests left and right, and is ahead of schedule. I almost feel sorry for pilot-jocks, nerds will be controlling the battlefield in 10 years....look out for the X-45C also, it's the fighter for the USAF. ChiCom is soooo far behind us, it's not even funny....
And if we know about it, chances are there are more aircraft being developed that we DON'T know about. Think about it the B-2 was first tested in 1971(or possible even earlier) and the X-15 was introduced in 1961. It's 2009! Imagine what we are thinking up now. crazy
Agree with everything you said. It's funny, the F-22 and Rail-Gun are considered 'old' tech nowadays, and are already fielded. Hell, the F-35 is considerd more 'high-tech' then the F-22. Gates knows something about the F-35 that we don't know. Reasoning why they cancelled the 22 and went with the 35. Then again, the USAF will be unmanned by 6th gen fighters by 2020 - 2025. The 2010 660 Billion Defense Budget can buy you alot of shit! Thanks Obama, you make a great republican! lol
I think what happened is not that the F-35 is more high tech. Its that the F-35 meets our needs better. It still gives us air superiority, they are cheaper to produce (which means we can make more with less), and with the savings we can invest in other technologies (such as UAVs). Gate's achievement is that he overcame the "Top Gun" Fetish that the Air Force had involving hot shot fighter pilots flying the most advanced aircraft possible.
USAF will probably never be fully unmanned with their planes in our lifetime due to the need of human presence to eliminate error caused by electronic warfare.
Hmm. Looks just like the Russian made Scat Drone...or just the opposite! And I thought Russia said stealth didn't work? The Scat drone manned verison looks so much like an F-117 its laughable. Anyway, this will be the future of aerial combat. The technology exists today but sooner rather than later, the possibility of human error will be completely eliminated & the best course of action will be decided by a network of computer systems much like that in the F22, which practically flies itself
russia never said stealth doesnt work you dumbass lol........they said back then during the 1980's that its countermeasures were cheaper..but in todays world stealth bombers are more reliable then high speed bombers that fly with such altidute. In the world where missiles are becoming reliable , stealth is the better choice.
You might want to research the S-300/S-400/S-500 missile defence systems & what Russian "officials" claim they can do. Just as they feel their updated Su27's, aka Su35's, are equal to an F22 in all aspects. Either they're hypying the capabilities of their weaponry, or they're lying. As for countermeasure, this is one of the reason why the B70 was canceled & the B1 went into production;a low level flight attack bomber; Tu160 being its opposite
integrated missile defense systems especially those with big radar can detect stealthy objects from 300 miles away...these are the s-400 and s-300 systems. russia never hyped up their technology..and for the record the russians never said their su-35 can beat an f-22......jesus christ your so odd. there are areas where the f-22 matches the su-35.....especially an advanced upgrade of the su-27. dont be hatin on russia again lol.
ugh i have a headache

@pimprussi out think it, be unpredictable. KNOW your enemy as well or better than himself and exploit his strengths to make them weakness and their weakenesses into cato's. same as human piloted.

still a possibility of hacking these drones and turning them on who ever owns them ... i dont trust them carrying bombs lol
SERIIOUS24 2 years ago
@SERIIOUS24 Its always possible but I am quite sure that there are so many safety systems built in that you would likely have to be an absolute insider to hack this. Unlike internet based programs I would imagine this has its own unique computer language you would have to learn before you could even get it to interface with anything else, let alone hack into it. Probably has a self destruct if it loses its official signal for too long too Id imagine (thats what Id put on it anyway LOL)
frankensteinmoneymac 2 years ago
Plenty of drones have carried out sorties in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. One of the Taliban's top leaders was killed by a drone strike last summer. As far as I know, none of NATOs drones have ever been 'hacked' midflight and turned on their operators.
drauglintuor 2 years ago
wouldn't it be easy to jam the signal going to the plane?
dardull 2 years ago
I would bet that only a select group of countries have that capability. Even with that I am sure that the manufacturers have thought of that if not the military themselves.

Taranis.. for those who dont no what it is.. look it up :)
UKCallum1 2 years ago
It's a close match, obviously built by two different manufacturers. BAE versus Northrop Grumman. I don't think the Taranis is flying yet as to the X 47B which is slated for Carrier Landing trials some time next year.

taranis has first flight testing early next year i think :).. x47b looks awesome

oh i meant 2 f-117a the 20 was a typo my bad..sorry bought that.. and yes im talking bout the nighthawk..
RydeWidWolf 2 years ago
kallen dude f-117a is steath aircraft its not supposed to be seen forget being shot down .. if u fly stealth aircraft u must know.. if u can be seen by the enemy ur not steath thats the whole concept of stealth not being a target but targeting the enemy stats are way different can u justify a 170Million dollar aircraft lost but a 100 thousand dollar missile!..look at my comment i have said f-117a clearly that to an outdated soviet sam!
RydeWidWolf 2 years ago
Well yes, you american developing aircraft you think about they are invisible to radars and locators, you've spent a billions to develop that technology, then ours - Czech - engineers developed (for fraction of that costs) two radio locators. Older Tamara and quite brand new Vera which are able to locate your multi billion aircraft, those systems are mounted on ordinary lories and practically untargetable because they are almost passive.
Greetings from Czech rep. :D

i would not be optimistic about stealth 1) russia never shares its best technology even with its allies 20 F-117a was shotdown by serbs which had inferior soviet weaponry
the consect of UCav is good tough altough preditor drones are more practical than the ucav shown which is still adesign on paper and animation
RydeWidWolf 2 years ago
Check your stats on the number of F-117 that were shot down as I was a Crew Chief for the F-117 at Hollaman AFB. The radar avoidance technology shown in the begining of the Video is the same used on the F-117. I'm sure you know this since you refer to it as a F-117 instead of a F-17 the F-15 and F-16 also have the preseeding number 1 f-115 and f-116 or the f-111 which I went to the retirment ceromonies for the AC at Cannon AFB

da commies seem jeliious i guess ha marlvel at superior drone tech noobs
digisage57 2 years ago
No russian missile defense system is capable of picking up stealth aircraft nor has it ever been. Nor do they have any weapons platforms or aircraft that can match the technology of the F-22 or this weapons system shown here. Not even close. Anything said to the contrary is ridiculous.
truthmaster78 2 years ago 2
Ignore the commie sympathizers. The X-47B makes the F-22 look like a joke. Cheaper and better stealth. The first X-47B will land on a Carrier in late '10. She is passing tests left and right, and is ahead of schedule. I almost feel sorry for pilot-jocks, nerds will be controlling the battlefield in 10 years....look out for the X-45C also, it's the fighter for the USAF. ChiCom is soooo far behind us, it's not even funny....
legacyfinancial 2 years ago
And if we know about it, chances are there are more aircraft being developed that we DON'T know about. Think about it the B-2 was first tested in 1971(or possible even earlier) and the X-15 was introduced in 1961. It's 2009! Imagine what we are thinking up now. crazy
NosoCOMINSOON 2 years ago
Agree with everything you said. It's funny, the F-22 and Rail-Gun are considered 'old' tech nowadays, and are already fielded. Hell, the F-35 is considerd more 'high-tech' then the F-22. Gates knows something about the F-35 that we don't know. Reasoning why they cancelled the 22 and went with the 35. Then again, the USAF will be unmanned by 6th gen fighters by 2020 - 2025. The 2010 660 Billion Defense Budget can buy you alot of shit! Thanks Obama, you make a great republican! lol
legacyfinancial 2 years ago
@legacyfinancial
TangomanX2008 2 years ago
USAF will probably never be fully unmanned with their planes in our lifetime due to the need of human presence to eliminate error caused by electronic warfare.

Hmm. Looks just like the Russian made Scat Drone...or just the opposite! And I thought Russia said stealth didn't work? The Scat drone manned verison looks so much like an F-117 its laughable. Anyway, this will be the future of aerial combat. The technology exists today but sooner rather than later, the possibility of human error will be completely eliminated & the best course of action will be decided by a network of computer systems much like that in the F22, which practically flies itself
RobbieRottenZombie 2 years ago
russia never said stealth doesnt work you dumbass lol........they said back then during the 1980's that its countermeasures were cheaper..but in todays world stealth bombers are more reliable then high speed bombers that fly with such altidute. In the world where missiles are becoming reliable , stealth is the better choice.
sovietamerican2 2 years ago
russia never said stealth doesnt work you dumbass
>
You might want to research the S-300/S-400/S-500 missile defence systems & what Russian "officials" claim they can do. Just as they feel their updated Su27's, aka Su35's, are equal to an F22 in all aspects. Either they're hypying the capabilities of their weaponry, or they're lying. As for countermeasure, this is one of the reason why the B70 was canceled & the B1 went into production;a low level flight attack bomber; Tu160 being its opposite
RobbieRottenZombie 2 years ago
integrated missile defense systems especially those with big radar can detect stealthy objects from 300 miles away...these are the s-400 and s-300 systems. russia never hyped up their technology..and for the record the russians never said their su-35 can beat an f-22......jesus christ your so odd. there are areas where the f-22 matches the su-35.....especially an advanced upgrade of the su-27. dont be hatin on russia again lol.
