2, all the Muppets are left-handed when they play Guitar or Bass because the Muppeteer was probably Right-Handed so they used their right hand to control the head and mouth and used the left hand to control the hands, which makes the Muppets Left Handed

@wolfpat The original writer/musicians based Janis on the guitar playing singer Joni Mitchell who played a Les Paul guitar. Later writers and replacement puppeteers may not have known that historical connection. Good ear and eye to pick out the difference - thumbs up. My husband is a guitar player and has a Les Paul and a Stratocaster as well as a few others - I had to agree that several guitars was not too many, after he played them all for me once, I could really hear the differences.

Yes, in fact most of the Muppets were left-handed simply because the puppeteers themselves were right handed. Their "good" hand (usually the right hand) was used to operate the mouth, so the other hand was used to perform the muppet's main hand actions.

Not really weird.... there just wasn't that many women in the company. In fact her initial artist Eren Ozker was the only female cast member at the time she joined and no one to replace her when she left.

it's an understandable observation - really didnt deserve 6 thumbs down... she was voiced by rishard hunt and originally planned to be a male - the first sketch before Janice came into fruition was the muppet being a satire of Mick Jagger - later in tailoring, they made the muppet into a female.
