Based on the trailers, I wasn't expecting much. As such, I did enjoy it. I agree with everything you guys said. And yeah, it was great to see Bzzd in the mix, but pity there was no Ch'p.
@regularguy5mb I am very, very grateful to encounter another Ch'p fan! For someone who was once one of only 5 active Lanterns in the universe, he was killed off in the most appalling manner. I'd like to see the return of Dr. Ub'x at least once. Perhaps to plague Ch'p's replacement, B'dg.
@theinvisiblearmy Nova is a Marvel Comics character introduced in 1976, a young human inducted into an intergalactic peacekeeping corps of space cops. He wields a super-suit that allows him to fly through space, generate force fields and shoot laser blasts from his fists. He's generally considered to be a cross between Spider-Man and Green Lantern. Marvel has recently done a lot more stories with the Nova Corps itself than they had traditionally done.
@normantweeter Oh, I didn't mean NOW, I mean soon. But i will say this--the critics apparently really ripped it a new one--I mean the so-called professionals, not us Internet reviewers.
@shinobiflare Well, yeah... I can't understand their reviews at ALL. But then I don't understand what their objectives are when going in to see a film. I suspect they all go into a film intending to hate any given film, and their views are colored by that. We generally go in with the intent to enjoy a film, because we like to enjoy ourselves. Our reviews are colored by the expectations we go in with; and we explain our expectations up front in our reviews.
I would LOVE to see a Nova Corps movie.

Nova Corps! I really like Richard Ryder and what Marvel has done with him post Annihilation: Conquest. Great review and I'm reviewing it this week.
