  • I love the little insincere asshole grin he flashes before he shuts the door.

  • looks like he was brushing his teeth and drinking some milk

I SEEK POLE SHIFT SURVIVAL GROUP

  • it probably was the side effects of the cocaine after all

  • Coke,Red Peppers,White Milk....The Thin White Duke !

  • Can't believe this has got 56,000 hits as it's not even Bowie, just two men in wigs. And yes, I agree, the straight teeth at 1.27 gives it away

  • @brianconway100

    no it's bowie

  • @brianconway100 I saw this for the first time a year ago and never even dreamt it was a fake. Not that it really matters. It's not like there's any dispute that Bowie was a coke head.

  • got coke?

  • Has a slight thin white dukish appearance, but this could've been bloody anyone.

The intact upper front row teeth gives this away.....nøt Bowie

  • @PAULLONDEN That is video footage of David Bowie. Official...

  • @boi187 Yeah, you're right, no big deal anyway,it's actually a surprise that there isn't more footage of him ,enjoying his favourite pastime, during the "thin white duke" years. "MainMan"agency, was awash with it.

  • Whenever I want a good laugh I watch this video. Ah, David... crazy fucker we love you lol

  • hahaha lmfao!that could have been anyone ,i could have made that in my basement.

  • @ROMEORAUNCH ah, no, as a rabid David Bowie fan, I can attest that this is indeed David Bowie. And yeah, he was more than likely snorting coke and washing it down with milk like he always used to do.

  • He was NOT snorting coke! He was merely clearing his nose with a straw!

I KNOW this because I have done the same thing.....many times at many club bathrooms!

  • Was that Thomas Dolby at the start of the clip? Sure looked like Thomas Dolby...

I think it was Thomas Dolby.

  • @BravoAlphaLimaJR that was slash from GnR

  • He sure does like milk.

  • He eats a kilo of coke between 2 slices of bread.... he's the boss

  • beautiful song

  • FAKE! Like anyone with a brain couldn't tell.

  • it's really poignant w/warsawza playing under it. =0(

don't know why, i suppose anything would be.

  • lol @ the size of that bag of snow.... its like a few ounces !....and wtf does that body guard have a dead black poodle on his head?

  • lol @ the size of that bag of snow.... its like a few ounces !

  • fake, that was a poor Bowie impersonator, song wasnt Warzawa,it was chrystal Japan from heroes

  • Its a phony...the black frizzy wig is a dead givaway...good distressed video look though.....

  • LMAO I love the music you played for when he discovers the camera.

  • @NoDestinyLive4Now I agree. I was gonna comment the exact same words you chose. lol.

  • What is the name of music??

  • @kaitracid75 Think its Warzwa. Not much good with the instrumental song names from Low/Heroes.

  • even though it doesn't really show anything..it probably is true..he's drinking milk.that's sinful in it's own. So was bowie a nice guy after coke or a dickhead? some people are nicer..some like monsters.

  • @oatstao - "So was bowie a nice guy after coke or a dickhead?"

have you seen the Dick Cavett interview 1974 - he's fairly glassy-eyed, but still very articulate and likeable imo (but so damn fidgety lol)

  • Where did it show him snorting coke? Cause I sure as hell didn't see anything

  • The music makes 1:15 really funny.

  • You snort coke not sniff or huff, anyway poor Bowie he really must have had a bad time with drugs.

  • Names of the two song , the instrumental one was "Crystal Japan" and "Panic In Detroit" the re-recorded version from Scary Monsters 1980.

  • Comment removed

  • no no , he was drinking milk...

  • what a bore

  • I do hope that's not full fat milk. Awfully bad for you.

  • you dont huff coke you sniff it huffing is through the mouth

  • @AudioAstronaut5000 you don't sniff it sniffing is smelling

  • @opiateutopia so your saying you dont smell cocaine when you snort it?? shut the fuck up dumbass

  • @AudioAstronaut5000 i was joking, but srsly huffing is what you do with glue/inhalants so you were kind of wrong anyway you pompous bastard

  • So so sad !

  • "Right...I'll just have a bit of whiz and some chocolate milk and I'll be prepared to ROCK"!

  • actually i think he was just opening up his milk container.

  • @posthumanhero Then what is he carrying in his hand at 0:21 ?

  • God bless youtube for making clips like this available to us with just a few keystrokes and clicks of a mouse

  • it could have been Bug powder dust!

  • really wanna know what he says to the camera before he shuts the door

  • rofl he drinks milk after railing the coke. this is legit '75 bowie.

  • @NappyHeadedHorse Yep, all that's missing are the peppers.

  • @NappyHeadedHorse LMAO it's beacause of the calcium, to counteract the devastation that was being inflicted on the teeth at the time! perfect Bowie logic. bless

  • Fuckin' asshole whoever was filming this lol, if I was that assistant I would have kicked the guys ass and stole his camera, poor fuckin' David. Also, you don't huff coke, you moron, you sniff it, there's a big difference there...

  • @FuckFacts ahaha who the hell says "huff cocaine"?

  • DivineFellowship - what the hell are you talking about?!?! You seriously need help you homophobic, racist moron. Not to mention tone deaf. Spread your pseudo-religious shite somewhere else.

  • cant see it

  • @DivineFellowship There is no place in modern society for people like you, you're simply a homophobic, racist and inconceivably stupid person. What is your problem with his sexuality? I'm bisexual. Have you got a problem with that? That man gave me the courage to tell my father my sexuality and you dare have the audacity to spew that wretched, vile, corrupt bull-shit? What exactly is your excuse for such a disgusting, inhuman attitude towards someone? Have you even got one?

  • @DivineFellowship What you're saying here is not religion, it's judgement; judgement that your God should only be permitted. I follow the Buddha's views, not yours. Do not try and push your disgusting crap onto the youth of today, you're corrupting them.

"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." - Matthew 7:12

Or perhaps you're forgetting this snippet? No?

I personally don't think your God will be too pleased with such a view... Do you?

  • @DivineFellowship What I have learned from David Bowie is that I must value my individuality, I mustn't conform to what others expect of me, I mustn't be ashamed to be myself, I mustn't take other's bullshit, I must value my self worth and that everything is valuble.

I think that you need to consult your God. I wonder what he has to say about you...

I think I've covered everything I need to, for now........

  • It's nice to know that while he was perverting and corrupting youth, he was getting his karma already.

  • @DivineFellowship The karma of being AWESOME?

  • got milk?

  • A lot of people in that time frame, and also today, say and do things they would not say or do after they mature, It's called growing up ! And being an Artist, under a 24/7 microscope gives the press all the advantages of catching someone at a weak moment. Now, if the person is saying the same thing 30 years later, well maybe thats how they really feel !

  • @kimbalxyz Agreed. Cocaine is just as prevalent within the entertainment industry now as it was 30 yrs ago. Even so called "mature" entertainers/artists indulge now and then. It's wasn't until the late 80s that the militant anti-drug rhetoric started to gain steam, thanks to Nancy Reagan's hopelessly misguided "just say no" campaign. Celebs are just more discrete about it now. They also tend to abuse prescription drugs which are more lethal and addictive than most "street drugs"

  • So glad he got pass this stage in his life.. Love you david bowie you poo little thing :)

  • Bowie made coke famous.

  • @newchopra Coke made Bowie famous and skinny.

  • @newchopra his talent made him famous and a spaceship to moon .,.

  • @newchopra maybe made it famous "again" in 70s, but coke was really most famous 1880-1930 when it was legally found in tons of products or medicines (soda pop, cough syrup, liiquid in a syringe and more). Plus Injections were more common back then even for kids. Sigmund Freud was coke junkie who wrote about a "wonder drug" til his friends started dying and he wised up. Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde was written in a 48 sleepless coke binge. Edison used it. bosses gave workers coke to work longer hours.

  • @newchopra Coke make bowie famous

  • I admire Bowie because he, unlike many artists, was able to bounce back from such a fall like this. He got out of his character, and not every entertainer can do that.

  • @DomWrath "such a fall?" He liked to party, liked to feel good. Yeah, terrible "fall"

  • BESIDES THE FACT THAT IT WAS 35 YEARS AGO, (SEE: SELF-AGGRANDISEMENT) IT'S STILL NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, QUIT POINTING TO OTHER PEOPLES SUCCESSES/FAILURES TO JUSTIFY YOUR ACTIONS. OWN YOUR OWN SHIT, QUIETLY. JUST SAYIN'

  • How the hell he managed to write and perform such an impressive body of work during this period, lord only knows. I can't undress myself after 2 grams.

  • id rather hear the video hiss

  • whatever. Who are the stupid NARC melvins FILMING him when he thinks he's alone?? and ya don't 'huff' coke; that's paint. The total invasion of privacy is way more disturbing than Bowie having a bump, back when EVERYONE was...

  • @madisonlucas

I could not agree more. Its the invasion of privacy that is most shocking. Rock stars doing coke shocking? FFS.

  • How can the uploader know he 'licked' the paper? a/w vvery eerie video even without the music.

  • I really doubt he was yelling, he was most probably very nice about it and said something like "Could you not film this right now, please? I'm kind of... um, in the middle of, er, something, ah...". Didn't he smile at the end, anyway? ;)

  • @xaveryPL yeah. but i don't think it was sincere! mocking or sarcastic more like!

  • I've never 'huffed' coke; I think 'sniffing' works better. Maybe it's a European thing. Anyways, he should have stayed on it, his music was much better during that period. The only people that have a problem with it are those who haven't used, or are too weak to handle it (and probably had to find "Jesus" to deal with it.)

  • @donniewilcox its so not true

  • You be doing nose candy on the Bowie coke mirror...

  • I think what's going on in these comments is a confusion between Bowie the "star" and Bowie the "artist". Some are horrified/sad about him doing a bump in a dressing room. Others defend drug use as not particularly unusual behavior for people who explore the limits. But both are right. More than any other modern musician, Bowie strove to synthesize all of the elements of his personality and interests into his life and persona. Not just an artist, but also an enormous pop personality.

  • PS Thanks uploader for the video, presented w/out moral judgment of the man or the 'vice.' Nice flipping soundtrack, too!

  • I've been a Bowie fan for a long time myself. I am not disappointed in the least. He is not hurting others here. He wasn't lost. He is an artist. An explorer. A Rebel2. Bowie may be thin here but he does not look anywhere near death in this scene. He's busy getting high. Gimme a break. He may have done a lot of drugs, but not for nought. He came back from the edge with one hell of a lot to show for it. I don't find this sad at all. I find it sad that all these people are busing wagging fingers.

  • This is pretty sad. Must be during the 1975-1977 Thin White Duke period. He claims that he did so much coke in that period that he doesn't remember making "Station To Station".

  • dude that big guy was not slash! Yes Bowie went out with Slash's mom Slash wrote about it in his Autobiography Yet as another person stated "Saul Hudson (born 23 July 1965" making him ten years old at the time this video was shot. So no that was not Slash.

  • That was a fascinating slice of history. Bowie readily admits he was whacked out of his gourd on coke starting in '74 but to see it firsthand is another thing altogether.

  • Made his one of his finest, most enduring records while utterly whacked on the naughty salt. He said 'I know Station To Station was recorded in LA because I read it was.'

  • huffing?

  • He's admitted being an addict and thankfully he was able to quit

  • i dont think it is real he must be doing something else

  • ITS THE FUCKN 70S EVERY1 WAS "SNORTING" BLOW NOT "HUFFING" IT YA DUMBASS..

  • This is terrible.. Good thing he stopped with his addiction :)

Side note: The guy with the big hair is slash from guns n' roses. Slash's mother worked with Bowie in this time and was kinda dating him. :)

  • @TheJesterGirl Um, Slash was only 10 years old in '75

  • he look like Michael Jackson and he inspired him

  • I reall feel for him, the madness in his family, coke and the loss of his half brother put him on a painfull road to self destruction/discovery.

i know i'm going through the same trauma and have that addictive gene, luckily my writing keeps me going and ambition keeps me going

i've admired him and his work most of my life and so glad he's pulled through all that

  • more power to him. he's brilliant. He knows what hes doing.

  • The camera man looks like John Lennon...

  • best albums he did were in his coke period. coke made him better. praise cocaine.

  • What a bogart!

  • Like others have said here, Bowie is very ill here, deep in coke addiction. He's lucky that he came through that period alive and then was willing to work at letting go of his addiction. So many aren't willing and they don't come back alive. I can't and don't judge someone for being in the throes of a disease.

  • This Really upset me , I feel for him he looks so frail and white , he wasn't well at all thank goodness he's turned it all around , good for him. long live bowie!

  • we want the original audio no matter the hiss

  • Jesus. He's got a bag big enough to kill an entire pride of lions, but he's still economical enough to lick the paper! The little smirk at the end when he closes the door; still trying to be polite. I get the Nazi flirtation now; between coke and milk, he certainly believed in his white goodness...I guess the green peppers explain his love for Mars, aliens, and space travel. Seriously...here we have yet another example of the dichotomy: Drugs help the writing process, kill the individual.

  • the end to what was the BBC's cracked actor .. thought to be not appropriate at the time they showed universal footage instead .which means that the BBC have the entire show, to which I only have on audio ... sob !

  • Thank god it didn't kill him. I respect him for getting through the addiction, getting past it and still going strong!

  • Coke ruines life. I know!

  • A guy drinking some milk. Big Deal.

  • I would have asked him for a hit!

  • snort em if u got em

  • Cocaine is a good thing, not a bad, so don't feel sorry for Bowie.

  • wut is the song in the end ,,, im sure its a bowie tune,,,,,someone help!

  • @therealCanablisS Panic in Detroit re-record from scary monsters album 1980.

  • Shut your door... problem solved.

  • Hey, what's the music?

  • @apraggare crystal japan, followed by the re-recording of panic in detroit. both are bonus tracks on some releases of scary monsters

  • Bowie's most creative music appears to coincide with his drug daze...

  • @crankenstein70 Ok, so why don't you have a line to become a next Bowie?

  • @S0v3r3ign69 I AM BOWIE!!!

  • @crankenstein70 man I wold like to share some with me

  • @crankenstein70 if you were bowie you would not be thinking cocane was a good thing idiot!

  • what musician doesn't do drugs?

  • Yeah, that's pretty much David Bowie doing coke, alright.

  • That's one dangerous looking afro.

  • that was a giant bag of yayo!!! back then @ $300 an 8ball...you do the math...OMG.

  • Heh, this is the song that Trent was heavily influenced for A Warm Place.

  • 0:21 ROFL omg

  • thats not bowie!! its the thin white duke!

    ahh coke and milk.

  • he really does like milk, he drinks out of a larger one in cracked actor..."there is a fly in my milk!"

  • Bowie must of done alot of cola when he wrote the songs on STATIONTOSTATION one song (TVC15 ) is a love song about his stereo receiver.

  • he told us that tvc15 was about a love affair between a girl and her television set

  • Where is this from?

i am starting the pole shift survival group.

let me know if u r interested.

  • Love me some Bowie! Yeah!

  • Jeez. Who WASN'T on cocaine in the 70s? Get over it.

  • @BreakingGlass77 ... hey, you're the one that came here and watched a video clearly titled "bowie huffing coke" if you're so over it... why do that?

  • @BreakingGlass77 Understand your point but Bowies was addicted to coke for a long long time.

  • This is true but he did (in my opinion) his best songs when he was on coke.

  • Yes his songs then were emotional (or emotionless) deep and rather cold. but they had a lot more meaning than the garbage that MTV and much nowadays push out there

  • HHOLY FUCK THATS ALOT OF COKE

  • @modshroom was apparently like a £500 a day addiction lol. i'm glad he's alive to tell the hilarious tale (partially)

  • @joellyshooshoo Impossible

  • @godofslumber read it in a biography but it is hard to belive i know, despite his wafer thin appearance and madness. pop this in google "Life ruined by £1,000-a-day drug habit" drugs are expensive and shit, don't do em kids xx

  • Thanks so much.

  • he looks like he is licking the paper

  • was probably really good stuff and he didn't want to waste.

  • Coke, milk and red peppers he said. With bags of quality coke like that he had in his hand I'm not suprised thats all he could eat.

  • didnt see shit

  • Oh my God he's drinking whole milk. that stuff will kill you.

  • You guys are making a big deal about cocaine in the era when this was filmed? Why?

  • I always found Bowie to be the most amazingly hottest man during the Thin White Duke era. I never knew he did coke during this time, but I think I realized that it may have been the reason why he appeared so sexy to me. I feel so guilty. v_v
