Just want to thank you ahead of time if you are able to answer this question. I'm new to the youtube scene, and even to just honing skills using 'regular' makeup instead of straight up stage makeup/paints, so I'm not sure what the etiquette is in this situation.

Again, thank you for your time, and truly, your look is way more polished. I struggled a lot with the eyeshadow part - blending etc, but the feathered sides were my own idea...

(cont) I am used to doing really theatrical looks but not so much practice with using eyeshadows and mastering blending/color tonalities, variations, and shaping using the eyeshadows. The point being that I didn't end up posting the more dramatic look, which is extremeley similar looking on the feathered sides. Your tutorial has inspired me to acutally go ahead and do the tutorial with the feathered sides using my own version, but I don't want to be seen as a 'copy-cat.'

So I have a bit of a question here... I actually created a look very similar to this (pretty much identical in regards to the feathered corners) except that I was using a peacock feather as a model, and using my eye as the apex of the center of the peacock. Now, you have done way more intricate and polished work in regards to texture (with the splatters, etc, althought in my look, I used glitter liner to add to texture the feathered sides) but I decided to go less theatrical b/c (cont)

I'm not 100% sure but a couple of months ago I went and asked about it and the manager said you don't have to be formally trained, but it does help when applying.

You don't have to go to school to work there but of course having experience is necessary... you do a formal interview then if they like you they have you come back in for a second interview where you do someone's makeup...and of course a list of references help
