Yeah it does look somewhat like FL. That game was and still is pretty damn awesome. Only thing is i dislike any game that has pvp cause well.. too many egotistical shit talkers tend too believe they're all that and when they get their asses handed too em well heh.. funny thing! *Plays justin timber fags Cry Me a river*
what is vapor ware. And anyways, it will come out, the game is still very much alive and in development, close to being finished, they are adjusting things.

Only because objects or other ships are massive in comparison to a little ship you fly in. Like, at night time, the moon looks much closer then it really is and takes a while to get to.
looks kinda cool. like a more hands-on version of eve online. but will you only be able to fly fighters or other such craft? where are the multi-turreted battleships? hopefully i get into the beta :)
What's the handleing like in Jumpgate? Is it like Tie-Fighter or X-Wing Alliance where the ships fly like planes ie if you pull back on the stick the ship does a loop the loop or is it more simulator style where if you pull back on the stick the ship rotates in space but stays on the same course untill you thrust?
Also the ships your fighting there seem to be going painfully slow. Is that just cause its like low level stuff or is the whole game quite slow paced?
JG:E will feature what is called "Newtonian Physics". I'E; you're going to have to learn how to fly in a vaccum with no gravity. The original Jumpgate was like driving on ice, high speed thrust made it difficult to turn or stop, however JG:E features toggle able "dampeners" that reduce this effect and make it easier to maneuver, although with the dampeners OFF you can do some pretty slick flight maneuvers, such as going full throttle, cutting the engines and using inertia to fly backwards. Win.
- I hope they keep the physics of crashing into objects actually causing damage to your ship :P made it so much more epic to actually have to be careful with lots of debris around.

Seems to be running smooth, didn't see any lag or pauses anyway. Very good looking game.

The system requirements are hard to believe: 800mhz CPU, 512MB RAM, 32MB 3D card...
Truth0rDeath 4 years ago
thats what they are aiming for...
let's see when it comes out...
800Mhz processor and 32mb (depends on shadder settings) will be hard to keep.
Halflernation 3 years ago
Ya but the average low level system is at least double that these days.
Truth0rDeath 3 years ago
thats why I'm not expecting to be those.
My machine is a 2.5Ghz and a 128 Ti4800.
If they can put it to run in it just fine, thats the only thing I thank for :D
