FINALLY! Seriously every drum cover i have found on this song they never play the beginning drum percussion and I was trying to find some sort of video that shows it. Thanks so much for posting this, i almost have it but its a little tricky haha, good job man!

Awesome bro. I just finished learning this opening part (that no one ever plays correctly or at all). These electronic beats/percussion work is what makes most off the breaks of Anemia so badass and people always skip them. Now if I could just get that 3/4 high-hat ostinato at 6:30, I'd be set :)

the rhythm is in 4-4, right??? and first thing that you are playing is three-group 16notes, am i right???

Dotted 8th notes, but yeah, groups of 3 16ths if you want to look at it that way. And you're right that it's in 4/4

actually what he is doing is using the hi-hat with his foot to make that sound then doing whatever else you are doing with ur toms and stuff...great vid tho its awesome and still sounds the same

maybe, but it's not so much technique as it is just some coordination and making sure you play the right sounds and stuff. i think it just sounds awesome, like any other tool song
