  • I am just starting out in piano/keyboard and I just sit and watch/listen to these Masters throw down and I'm am amazed. I think, will I ever be as good as these guys..? Sure I will??!! Tips????

  • I am justing getting into piano/keyboards and I just sit and watch/listen to these masters throw down.... I just can't wait to be good. Tips???

  • This song is about plaque build up.

  • nice changes Doc

  • Thank you so much for sharing. This just touched me down deep in my soul. You have a gift.

  • it´s so inspiring and it has a great anoingting!!! Great cover mister. God bless you always. I thank the Lord for finding u and ur channel, it´s a great blessing and inspiration 4 me.

  • Wanna Break that down for me thank's

  • That was intense, like the song is supposed to be! I mean it's called God Blocked it, not God half heartedly got in the way. By the way what's the progression for said song? I've been trying off and on to feel it out with my ear.

  • Ezra you are an amazing player! A lot of soul in your music I really enjoy your videos man! I really loves B3s and your sounds amazingly great! I am wondering what kind of Leslie you are using. It is obviously a 145 or a 142 but I would be very intesrested to know. To me your Leslie sounds more like a type 147 amplifier but I am not sure. God Bless You!

  • LOL I know it's not a 122 like I wish it was but u r right it's either one or the other of the ones u mention. My pastor saw that ad for selling a hammond as he was sitting in a airport and called about. We took a uhaul trailer to MI and hauled it back to Indy! A black retired medical surgeon bought it brand new back in the day for his daughter who was taking violin lessons when she was young as a surprise and she never played it at all so it just sit there in his condo for years! -blessing!!!

  • You know that from the sound? you are amazing. I guess it comes from having the real deal around, sigh.... :-(

  • But you know thats not fair I have been raised with B3s all around and I own one now so I know a great deal. In most cases, I can figure the drawbar setting out just by hearing a B3. I like the way Ezra is playing to me he is a real artist and a model evn though I don't play a lot of Gospel music I appreciate the talent and the soul of his music!

  • You can tell the difference between the sound of the 122 and 147 amplifier? What is the difference in the sound? Thanx

  • Yes the difference is noticeable especially in a acoustic environment without miking. Because as soon as an Leslie is miked then everything change but if you would make me hear two Lesies with a 122 and another with a 147 amp I would tell you easily which one is the 122 and which one is the 147.

  • Well I dont have my A100 and Leslie in a acoustic area...I have them both in a regular sized bedroom with a computer desk, book case and computer etc so I havent compared the two sounds from the different Leslies

  • The 147 is a lot more brighter with less bass and the 122 have a strong bass and strong low midrange response with a muffled upper midrange and treble. The 122 is more muffled or mellow than a 147. Thats why rockers often prefer the 147 for scream and jazz, blues and country guys prefer the 122 for a mellow fat sound. Cheers,

  • Ok thanx...but what do you think accounts for the difference in the sound? The cabinet? The Amp? The drivers? Motors? Which? Thanx

P.S I personally like more Treble than bass.I've owned two Leslie 122s(which I sold) and one Leslie 145 ( which I have right now hooked up with a stock 1961 A-100) and to me this 145 has a heavier bass than both of those 122s I owned. But I really love the sound of this 145.I bought it from a rocker like you said. I changed the belt postion to spin slower and luv it

  • The amp is the main reason for this difference in tone then the cabinet size also have a contribution in tone as well.. The output circuit of the 147 is different than on a 122. The combination of the 56 K resistor and the 100 pf capacitor across the

input and the output of the 6550's in the Leslie 147 produces a fuller

    sounding upper midrange .

  • The combination of the 390 K resistor

and the 0.0047 uf capacitor across the input and the output of the

6550's in the 122 rolls off more of the upper midrange thus

resulting in more of a "scooped midrange" effect which makes the organ

sound more "hollow" on the upper octave of the keyboards. It strange that you said that your 145 has more bass than your 122 because the 122 produce more bass and a bigger cabinet with a larger bass enclosure produce a deeper bass response. Cheers,

  • I dont have my organ and Leslie in an acoustic room and my 145 Leslie is sitting right next to me with a open back-- the top and bottom panels takin off...so the bass could sound heavier to me because of those reasons

  • Another reason why the bass could sound heavier to me is something I just got out of a tech manual for my Hammond A100--"The A-100 power amp has a bass-boost circuit to help the pedal notes through the internal speakers".

  • When the A100 is hooked up to a 147 or 145 Leslie as I have, The A-100 power amp has a bass-boost circuit to help the pedal notes through the internal speakers.

  • Well done Bro.i like that.

  • WOW I WISH I COULD JAM WITH YOU :( ... AMAZING STUFF ... im getting a hammond M3 organ ... Cant wait

  • Got Dang, dats was killa. Hey could u send me the chords to this song

  • Dr. Bufford: This is very anointed and you're a master organist:

    Rev. Michael Capps, Ph.D

  • Im lost for words. If only I could play like that. Thanks Ezra.

  • What an awesome job!!! Well done!!

  • THAT LOOK AT 4:20 IS PRICELESS

  • ha ha lol just got'a do what I do lol

  • Just superb Ezra ! Keep it up !!

  • I really can't wait until I can just sit down and jam out like this and just minister to my self through the music. It's really a blessing to be honored with such a gift and I surely pray that God will see enough in me to bless me with a great gift of my own. Good stuff Ezra. I love this and your piano version of it.

  • God bless and thank you all!!!

  • You seem to have a strange view of God. Why are you trying to make him recognise you? God doesn't use those who think they are cappable. He uses those who know they aren't cappable, and gives them the abilities they need.

  • what in the name of Jesus are you talking about.that does not make any sense

  • It does. I suggest you go back and read up on some of the old "Bible heroes" son.

When given a ministry you have to understand that you can't do it on your own. Otherwise it will almost always fall to pieces.

Instead assume that you can't, and rely on God to see you through.

It's a simple matter of trust.

  • Okay

  • I still don't understand what this comment has to do with the video.Bro.Bufford has God given talent and like most goood musician practices a lot.I have a lot of musician come by my Church have keyboards and have to tranpose to play every song.Instead of learning to play in every key. What I see Bro.takes years of practice and deditcation.

  • It has nothing to do with the video. I was talking to someone else who was trying to impress God with his talent. This has nothing to do with Bufford or his skill. I can only assume Bufford pretty much has it together as a Christian.

I suppose I could have worded it far better, but that was months ago.

  • Okay Completely understood

  • whom he choses,he also equips.

  • please post more stuff like this. i love your keyboarding but you are too much on the organ man.

  • God bless you Ezra. Thank you!!

  • AWESOME

  • Ezra u are awesome dude , oneday i hope and pray that god annoints my hands to play at the level that your at!!!! GOD BLESS YOU!

  • JAMMIN

  • Hammond sounds its best when you play gospel, jazz or blues on it. Great.

  • Just beautiful! Again the emotional depth comes through so well.

If I may add - I would have liked to have heard your companions better (the whole is often greater than the sum of its parts)- the camera microphone must have been so close to the B3 that it overrode the guitar and drums.

So... maybe the next time you get together you may wish to take that into account.

    Much Love and Blessings

  • Shalom, my Jewish brother. I am a Messianic Jew. I love Yeshua my Lord, my Savior, my friend. He is the best!!

God bless you. Peace to Jerusalem in Yeshua's Name. God's love and protection be upon you my brothers and sisters in Israel.

I am a jazz and gospel fan!!

  • Thank you, brother Ezra! The love and joy of our Creator comes through in your playing. Thanks for your generosity in making your playing and musical education available which I am attempting to learn from. • Nice!Like the sound of your B3!Great Guys!

  • Only 3 words to say:

    Paaaaahraise Thu Lord!!!!

  • ezra.. you an inspiration!!

  • I'm not the best in the world but even I could have played it better... it was messy

  • Thank you jrd.!

  • Ever heard the old saying "If you can't say something nice...don't say anything at all?"

You keep playing Ezra...I'll listen to you any time!

    Another Hammond Player...

  • Ezra - How long have you been playin and where did you learn to play ?

  • About 35 years-God blessed me to self teach myself with a lot of watching over the shoulders of great older keyboardist here in Indy locally. I had many great famous album organist idols I also admired and studied for years. Alfred Bolden, Nix, Preston, Thomas Whit. & etc.

  • Oh my word!! How personal some of us are taking this!! LOL I think it's laughable that we champion mediocrity! I only cited the obvious lack of musical prouis. Get over it loved ones! Inacurate is just inacurate! No disrespect to the musician or any of you! Intern all of the rebuttle comments are of absolutely no consequence! But thanks anyway!! LOL

  • GOD Bless You Too!

  • Mr. Bufford this was beautiful as for (KENON 27) when you get the Holy Ghost (like the bible say) we will listen to you. Mr. Bufford plays for God not you, me, nor Kurt Carr! Holiness is different, actually this type of playing touch's the soul, not some edited on stage performance. not to take anything away from Kurt Carr musicians. God is the only critique he knows if your giving your best, im a musician and my boss is JESUS!

  • Excellent, it dont have to sound like Kirk Carr version, the purpose is to add your own creavity to it

  • This organ playing is so sloppy. And so many of the chords are wrong!!! Am I the only one that can tell that this sounds like a 30 year old recording...UGH

  • Thank You very much for your prayers lol'

  • if thats so put a video on with you playing the right chords.... didn't think so. he doing it for jesus and to inspire somebody. lift up and stop tearing down.

  • Nice playing! Very soulful. You need to hit your guitar player though for playing too much random crap.

  • I know'

  • you are awesome Ezra!!! Keep it up.. God Bless you!!

  • wonderful

  • I almost can't take it! lawd ham mercy!
