  • I'm not trying to be hateful but honestly I don't like the R160s I prefer the old trains like the R62, R62A, R68, R68A

  • @MTASubway I guess but it still preforms better than the older trains!

  • it sound like it is saying f loco train

  • @TheCatgirl22 Okay!

  • this is a jamaica 100 and 70 9th st bound F express train the next stop is 21 Queens bridge. this is a coney island stain well ave boung F LOCO train the next stpo is ave u

  • @TheCatgirl22 Okay!

  • I love R160 on the (F) they fit there literally (nothing to do w/ allen1628famm siad in the info box). though I do slightly miss the R46 on the (F) too.

  • @4P3607 Okay!

  • Sometimes it sounds like the 2 train announcements (Diane Thompson is the 2 train recorded announcements voice).

  • @DReifGalaxyM31 Ah I know who does the announcements on the 2 and she doesn't sound the same as on the F train than on the 2!

  • I would probably better appreciate the announcements for the F if they made the voice sound more "energetic" like on all the other lines they run on (see BMT Broadway Line). I don't like this voice as much as others, but at least it's better than manual announcements!

  • @DReifGalaxyM31 Sorry but I like Dianne Thompson announcements on the F and yes automated announcements are better than manuel announcements!

  • They should change the (F) Train announcements to Coney island to: This is a Coney Island Bound F Local Train

  • No they don't.....the announcement is fine just the way it is. It's bad enough they shorten the N Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard bound announcements which is kind of stupid!

  • If MTA getz rid of W nd Z train they r bigger morons than I thought because i go 2 college at New York University nd i take da W train 2 skool so they betta sit down sum where. And i take da Z train 2 mii mom's house in Brooklyn she's lives in Norwood Ave. so if they do dat there of bunch of ass clowns.

  • Its just talk!

  • I heard that the MTA is trying to eliminate the (W) and (Z) lines

  • That's just talk!

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, her voice does sound different-by the way, they have an R160 A, C and V?

  • R-160's are not on the A, C and V yet.....A's ran R-160's back in 2006 for a 30 day a test!

  • interesting thing i read the annoucements are based on research thet humans take information in better when done by a female voice and obey instructions better from a male voice cool train in nyc too

  • Thanks.....the R-160's are the best thus far!

  • Anyone else wants to post another hateful...by all means b/c your comment will be removed!

  • IDK but i never liked her voice, the one who dose the E,J,L,M,N,Q,W, & Z sounds better, this one sounds like shes over lapping her speech lol

  • Well I just I'm the only one that like the announcements on the F!

  • noooo i like them too. its calm and relaxing.. :)

  • her voice is on various announcements her voice can be heard on the A, on the F the 2 and the N an maybe more but i have yet to hear it but originally her voice was the 2 an the next i heard her was on the A so she bouncing around dont be surprised if her voice appears on the V

  • I don't think she's on the V! Dianne Thompson announcements is on the Manhattan bound N, Coney Island bound Q, entire A, C, and F lines... certain transfer/connection announcements on the E, J, M, N, Q and W trains!

  • Speak for yourself. Whenever Cowdery speaks, she sounds drugged. Except on the East.

That and Thompson doesn't drive up dwell times. There was a reason they had her re-record some of the N and Q ones.

  • Well Dianne was already recorded on the Q.....she just re-recorded over Catherine's Manhattan bound announcements on the N as you stated, though there is a set or two that still have Catherine's Manhattan bound N announcements!

  • It's also on the E,J,M,Z,Q,N,and W lines the D included.

  • R160's aren't on the D.

  • Can't wait to see it!

  • the lady sounds a little like the voice for the 2,5(when it goes to 241 st) train lines!

  • Tha b/c it is her......read the bottom of my description!

  • okay!

  • myb she wanted to sound different lol since there using a different line she wanted to switch up her voice but you also got to understand she did the announcements for the 2 train soo long a the F is more recent so u cant expect her voice to stay the same

  • I'm so glad you got concept of it!

  • you welcome & yes i love that R-160A-2 F line & when i see that new tF rain I hope to ride on it

  • Hey Curtis you hit the JackPot & I really like this New F train video From the rate from 1-10 & I give you a 30I really enjoy this new long F line Video when I get a chance I hope to ride on the New F line I already rode on the New E train

  • Thank you....you'll like the R-160A-2 F!

  • R160A. i love it how most trains are getting R160 slowly and slowly

  • Same here!

  • B/c it is her!

  • LMAOOO.....some ppl say that or they say she sounds angry and rushing the announcements!

  • She makes the transfer announcements on the M @ Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street and Fulton Street!

  • The one who's making the entire announcements!

  • if the R32-R42s all retire, i will have no problem then with the R179 replacing the R44s and R46s. the R46s were meant to be retired in 2008 in the MTA's agenda!!!!

  • Eh we'll c!

  • yaaaaaaaaaaay

  • ??????

  • i like the r-160's but not as much as the

    r-40s and r-32s

  • I like the R-32's as well!

  • Thanks for the video JamaicaQnzFreak! Interesting the voice for the (F) is different than the (E) (J) (L) (M) (Q) (N) and other lines running the R160.

Was this the original voice for all the lines?

  • Your welcome....glad you like it. I mentoned the who say the announcements on the R-160 E, J, L, M, N, Q, W and Z trains in bottom of my description!

  • its just that the r160s that run on the F are the first option version of the r160, made by ALSTOM. they are slightly different and the have ONIX prupolsion

  • Nah its the same propulsion has the R-160A-1's and N's R-160A-2's!

  • cool.hope they put a R160 on the D train

  • I wishing that also, but its not going to happen b/c MTA like those boring R-68's!

  • ima place my bet and say the next line to have an R-160 A/B will be the G hehe

  • I doubt it, but we'll see!

  • r160 on the G? NO NO r68 G r160 B and D

  • R-160's are not going on the B and D lines!

  • they should put them on the B since the B is express and it needs faster cars. the r68 is slow as it gets. better yet i hope the slants would return to the B, i miss the good old days =(

  • I wish the Slants would return to the B, but its going to go soon and the R-68's are pure trash!

  • Approximately what percent of F trains are new like this one?

  • Tuesday it was 3 sets running and yesterday it was 2 sets running....I can't give a approximent percentage!

  • same here except for R42s and i lost interest on R32s

  • Oh okay!

  • and a set of R46 as well on the E surprisingly..but that R32 on the E is most likely gonna be short lived when they prolly put it to the C line

  • Well it don't matter to me b/c I'll ride a R-40M/R-42 and R-160A-2 on the E only!

  • yeah it did..the R42s are ugly..and the R32s on the E are no more

  • Actually there's one set of R-32's on the E!

  • the R42s ruined the F line til they got the R160s which im thrilled ab

  • The R-42's didn't ruin the F!

  • damn i always wanted to grow up and operate an R32 on the F, but when i am eighteen in 3 years ima have to operate this ''piece of the future''.

  • Like I've told you numerous of times.....things and times are changing. Its nothing wrong with the R-160's and not all of the lines are getting them. You lucky the R-32's are still running around C, E, F and R lines. 3 years from now theyw ill be gone!

  • 3 years from now they will be gone? so they are staying that long? wow

  • Maybe the remaining the R-32's on the F and R will go to Pitkin Yard on the A and C, but I can't predict the future. So we all have to wait and see what happens!

  • wait i heard that the E has no more R32s. and i hope u don't label this as a explicit comment but the guy who sez STAND CLEAR OF THE CLOSING DOORS PLEASE sounds mmmmaaaaaaddddd whack

  • Maybe there isn't but some ppl on here caught vids of the R-32 on the E. He's been doing it since the R-142's/R-142A's came out and he's also from Bloomberg radio!

  • for real?!?

  • YES! r160 F

  • I know about time!

  • how come the lad'ys voce that annonce the stops is different than the ones on a R160 E Train?

  • I guess MTA wanted to use Catherine Cowdery and Dianne Thompson on certain lines!

  • That is nice. Soon, the R160's will happily take ove MTA

  • Thanks and the R-160's won't take over.....in here near future it will be a R-179!

  • i hope u dont think this is a hateful comment:

    "I like the R46 better...seems more cozy...with their 'Disco-era seats' lol"

  • Okay that's fine that you like the R-46's. IMO I don't like them anymore b/c I kind of grew up with them and too me its time for a change!

  • you should update wikipedia's articles on R160 on who made the announcements...right now it's still the original 4 Bloomberg Radio personalities...great vid!!! - i'll say hi if i ever see u on the f

  • I don't want to edit the article on Wikipedia b/c I feel like someone will re-edit my comments!

  • yay! R160's may be seen on every B divison line!!

  • The R-160's are not going on every B Division Line, thought I would love to see that!

  • Cool video.... it would have turned express if it was going to Queens.

  • Thanks.....it is express in Queens!

  • The announcements.. Made me wet my pants!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LMAOO...you are so silly!
