Obama is confirming that the fears of having a person that has never held and executive position and with such little experience in office, failing to be able to make the hard calls, were serious valid concerns.
The 9/11 crimes fall under military jurisdiction. There is a significant difference between a military tribunal versus a trial in a civilian court. War was delcared on the US back in 1992. Once these war criminals step on to US soil they gain rights under our Constitution that they do not possess on foreign soil. This has significant implications as far as evidence and what information may become public knowledge with unknown consequences for our National security.
I am from NY. I am opposed to having these thugs given a trial in NY. I can't believe the two NY Senators voted against Liberman Graham bill.
