I had a friend that arrived at a scene where he found guy was unconscious in a car wreck. The victim had a deep wound from sharp piece of metal in his leg. My friend attempted to stop the bleeding as ambulance arrived on scene by applying pressure. By the time the medical personnel arrived the bleeding had stopped. Only then realizing that the blood flow had stopped because the victim was already dead.

Wear gloves if they are available . . . who has plastic gloves available? XD

My first aid kit has them. Any paramedic has them. Should be a little bit more serious about this. You may or may not (most likely not) have to do this. I had to take a class on basic first aid because of my job and this is some serious stuff.

It should go back to a normal color if its not too tight I'm assuming

And if it ISA too tight, how does 'pushing on the nail' help you find out?????

If the nail becomes white then purple when you press the nail or top of the finger, then it's to tight. And if it is, re-do it.
