Faith in Yahwe has lasted so long because religion (and culture) follows the same rules as darwinian evolution. The best suited to its environment will survive. Well Leviticus is the most cited source in the bible for the condemnation of homosexuality. However, Leviticus also condemns the consumption of certain foods (as we've discussed), crop rotation (without which society as we know it could not exist), shaving with a razor (something millions do daily), applying the death penalty to a child who disobeys his/her parents, and parents having the right to sell children into debt bondage.
Homosexuality is also referred to in the New Testament as well. Those others you mentioned are, like I said earlier, things they were required to do to atone for sins and keep from sickness but when Jesus came we no longer had to do them; He took on God's wrath for us. Today children can ask for forgiveness for disobedience(instead of being put to death) but it is still a sin to disobey.

Divorce has no relation to homosexuality at all lol and "the kind of role models that kids need in order to become the replacements for those of us who are parents now" is another unjustified statement. It suggests people can be converted to homosexuality lol... if that was the case then the number of homosexuals would be rapidly increasing all the time due to their prevelance in the media etc (and the gay population is not changing according to scientific studys).

Homosexual behaviour is no more horrible than heterosexual behaviour and no different from it except for the genders involved. Gays feel love and lust, just like heterosexuals, incase you were unaware.

No it is not only my disbelief. In order to rationally justify something, you have to do so from a rationally justified basis (proven with evidence and/or logic). Religious teachings are not justified with any kind of evidence and so do not apply in a rational debate. There is no evidence, otherwhise it would be scientifically documented. Irrational superstition and speculation is not evidence.
The idea of a spirit proliferating its continouance assumes there is one to do so in the case of your religion (which is not more justified than me assuming the same about my religion).
One or a few religions will always predominate, that is not evidence of their existence. People's blind belief in something does not make it so.

Faith in Yahwe has lasted so long because religion (and culture) follows the same rules as darwinian evolution. The best suited to its environment will survive. Faith has lasted a long time because the bible is well suited to its environment (the psychology of men). It has even changed with the times (the new testament) to make it more acceptable to the other aspects of culture that changed throught history I expect.

If it was possible to find empirical rational evidence of Yahwe then it would already be carefully scientifically documented, as people have had 6000 or so years to do so.
As I have almost certainly mentioned, spiritual mysticism has no place in a rational debate. It is not rationally justified and so cannot be used as justification of anything.

Yes and then science explains, using rational arguments and other empirically gained knowledge what the wind actually is and what causes it.
With religion however, baseless speculation is made about everything (and then treated as if it is fact). The speculation is moulded in to whatever shape it needs to be to roughly explain the (currently) scientifically unexplainable.
When science comes through e.g. evolution, the speculation is simply re-moulded again, as if it were always correct.

I dont see what part of an economic recession indicates fluorishing. You still have not justified your assumption that any beneficial effects in religious countries are the result of that religion. Religion is prevelant throught the world really. Africa is largely christian as far as I remember... but theyre not doing so wonderfully.
I dont understand much of "true biblical theology" because I dont regard it to be worthwhile. Seems like you dont know much either though.

Love cannot be defined in any clear terms any more than you can describe exactly what a colour looks like without refering to it's name. You can describe symptoms of love and thoughts and feelings associated with it but it is a subjective term that as far as I know has no clear definition.
There are many different ways to define love, one way might be "total selflessness wrt a certain individual". Thats just one of many.

Not really, I havent thought much about or studied it. You could see it as having a inspiring a motive to be with somebody sure. As far as "having motive" in terms of being inspired by some conscious will, I dont think Love is brought about by a conscious act of the mind. I think it occurs due to subconscious observations of a person most likely.
The nature of love is irrelevant though, unless you are somehow trying to argue that that nature changes between gay and straight couples.

No I think homo and hetero love are exactly the same... well in a sense no two loves are the same ... but generally speaking, there is no real difference between hetero and homo love and I dont see how you could possibly argue otherwhise.

They claim to be christians yet they fail to understand that Jesus loves and accepts everybody regardless of their race, religion (or lack thereof) and sexual orientation.
I was raised Roman Catholic and Jesus never preached Bigotry or Homophobia.

Well, I'm familiar with this belief, but what most people fail to understand is that the same principle that is used to justify ignoring the laws forbidding consumption of certain meats (i.e. pork and shellfish) can be used to counter all the laws laid out in Leviticus, as Christ continully intercedes on behalf of his people from is seat at God's right hand, removing the burden of obeying Levitical law

When I used the term "belief" I intended it in the sense of religious belief (for example our mutual belief in God, or a belief in Papal infallibility). And I do understand the purpose of Leviticus (I have several friends who are Jewish who helped in my knowledge of this), but nearly every intrepertation of Leviticus I've heard (in relation to the New Testament) should logically wipe out all the laws in Leviticus, rather then just a select few. However most Christians do not accept this view

Well Leviticus is the most cited source in the bible for the condemnation of homosexuality. However, Leviticus also condemns the consumption of certain foods (as we've discussed), crop rotation (without which society as we know it could not exist), shaving with a razor (something millions do daily), applying the death penalty to a child who disobeys his/her parents, and parents having the right to sell children into debt bondage.

Homosexuality is also referred to in the New Testament as well. Those others you mentioned are, like I said earlier, things they were required to do to atone for sins and keep from sickness but when Jesus came we no longer had to do them; He took on God's wrath for us. Today children can ask for forgiveness for disobedience(instead of being put to death) but it is still a sin to disobey.

I'm pretty sure Ron Paul is amazing. He finds just the right balance between denying gays rights, and throwing a particular lifestyle in your face. He is one of the few Republicans with whom I agree on this issue.

Some people are born murderers, like homosexuality, it's a mental disorder. Some people are influenced to murder by their environment/exposure, same with homosexuality. However you're bent any action or non-action is a CHOICE. ALL life has the ability to procreate (unless there is a medical problem or a choice) EXCEPT SAME SEX UNIONS. Like Hitler with enough propaganda you may convince the masses an abnormal action is normal but it doesn't make it so and history always bears that out.

Being gay is a choice, I'll admit that some people are born with traits that could cause them to be attracted to members of the same sex, but that doesn't make them gay, they become gay when they have gay sex or anything like it. I may be born with a tendency to rob banks, but i am not a bank robber until i rob one. People need to admit that their choices are just that, choices.

Does it really matter weather or not it is a choice? The fact is that you have no right to impose your beliefs on someone who disagrees. When the constitution was written it had freedom of religion and that implies freedom from it. What are you trying to protect by attacking gays?
