Check out his harmonica site for artist listings. He plays on his on and with 3 original members of WAR as lowriderband. Check them out lowriderbanddotcom
I remember my pops used to play this when taking me and my sister to school in the morning. If there is such a thing as meeting up with your love ones in the end, I want this song to be playing when I meet my pops again. R.I.P dad, I Miss you!
Uh, where's the harmonica? If it's there at all it must be buried deep, deep in the mix with the horns. Sorry, this cut is pleasant enough, but who talked him into abandoning his true gift?
Why isn't Lee Oskar known to more people? Most folks only know him from War and some didn't even bother finding out the name of the man whom, in my opinion, was the sound of War. He's an icon in his own right. His album, "BLT", was named after what he had the money for when he arrived in the States to seek his artistic fortune. A bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich. Thanks for the post. Nice to see someone else appreciates Lee too.
yes. The super fat groove here is courtesy-in-part of a teenage Bobby Vega. Hellova bass player. KILLING it here with a pick. daaaannnnnnng. Thanks B.V.

Definately a "key element" of the WAR sound, like a Harmonic-reverb-vibrato shadowing every tone to the WAR sound.~Peace,JohnnyV~
