  • Thanks! But you have to swap the inequality sign when dividing by a negative number? That would make the solution [-8, -2].

    If you think of the graph -2y^2-20y-32=0, it is a downward opening graph and if it crosses the x-axis at x=-8, and x=-2, it is greater than and equal to 0 between(and including) those points...

  • You could also do like when you divide inequality with negative number, the sign of inequality changes from greater than or even to less than or even.

    I was thought this change is obligatory or am I wrong :)
