  • i think your hair looks cute even when you wake up ha!

  • French twists r in my hair rite now I hope it works

  • I have been doing this for about 5 years and it saved my hair. I wash it at night, towel dry it, and then put it back when it is wet in one french twist. Then I shake it out in the morning and let the rest air dry and put in a tiny drop of frizz serum.

I have naturally poofy, frizzy, wavy hair.... and this gives me awesome bed head, beachy curls. :)

  • my hair is pretty silky, but when i do this it goes kinda dry:( anytips here?

  • @strawsmilkingcows If you apply a shine serum or a cream when its wet that cna help hold in moisture

  • @2NE14EVER1995 thank you

  • It worked awesome for me.. I took it out this morning and it looked awesome!! the curls turned out kinda like a bed head look but its really pretty!!

  • just leave it on with a little bit of frizz and it looks like a cute bedhead look!

  • before you french twisted your hair was it wet?

  • Wyotajo

I use Garnier Fructise's Sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner to make my hair look like hers(: I also use their shine spray and curl shaping spray gel for this look :) good luck!

  • WOW.! I finally found beautiful waves that work for me(: no more frying my hair!! Can't wait to have healthy beautiful hairrr-3 thank you sooooo much

  • Can you do a heat-free waves tutorial for medium/short length hair? :)

  • i wish my hair was that shiny and silky. Dang you dry hair

  • LOVE THIS.

  • would this work on naturally curlyish wavy hair..like if its damp? or do i have to straighten my hair before hand..? lol

  • @taybay451 hey my hair has tight curls and loose waves and it worked fine on my hair. and i did it when it was between damp and soaking wet.

  • Finally a hair tutorial that works for me - thanks YaYa! <3

  • I saw this other girl do the same on the top, french twisting it, but when the bottom comes, take one last strange of hair and create a braid with the other to strands. Then you wouldn't worry about the twists falling out or being too lose. The results, believe me, are just awesome! Very perfect beachy waves! I strongly recommend all of you to try it! Sorry YaYa, I'm not trying to go against you're tutorial, it's great already! I'm just not as good with hair as you are so I take the easier way:p

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOVE doing this! the only difference is that i french twist it right after i come out of the shower (so its sopping wet). I find it gives me looser waves <3 and this was sooooooooo easy to do(:

  • you can do anything with your hair!!! so jealous.

  • Omg! This looks SO great on me! It turned out a little driffent for me, because I took the wist and cliped it up on my head! No frizzyness, and I actually like it better ^^ It works better for me, thank you so much for sharing this.

  • Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I cannot say thank you enough!

  • Try outting mousse in your hair when oyu braid it. Thats what I do like basicallyeveryday and its hardly ever frizzy! :)

  • omg! i tried this last nite and it looks soooooo good! it was easy& simple and it didnt damage my hair thanks soooo much!!!!! :D

  • It looks great on short hair too, like collar bone length. :] It's a perfect for summer because it's really bohemian looking, and fall/winter because it has that classy wave look.

  • since my hair is thick, it turned out pretty well.

  • I turned out exactly like yours on my first try

  • Mine looked more crimped too, I suspect because my hair is thinner so my "twists" were thinner...I'm going to re-try this some other time using just one twist instead of two. =) Thanks!

  • I love it! I can't do anything to my hair without putting heat to it, but for the first today, I'm wearing my hair down without putting 400 degrees to it. Thanks ^_^

  • Youre too pretty!:) i wish i had your clothes and your hair! And your really funny and sweet:) i lo

  • Your hair looks ADORABLE at the begining of the video! I absolutely loooove it! And the waves look awesome too :)

  • i wish i had your hair , i love this!

  • this is great:)

  • beach waves. just over twist themtill u reach the top and then bobypin hair in place...

i did it and it works..

p:s leave overnight and damp ur hair first [:

  • ATTENTION:

If people are having trouble obtaining results or are struggling with the braiding technique, the very first video I HAVE EVER SAW introducing this new way to braid is from steff88love. I know Yaya did a pretty good job and Im not here to boast about steff, but seeing comments here make me realize people are having a bit of trouble lol

Hope this video will also help you out:

steff88love- No Heat Beach Wavy Hair?!?

  • do you wash your hair everyday?

  • Thank you so much, I've been dying to grow my hair out but it looks so much better curly, and the heat kills it. Love love love your videos

  • does it also work if i clip the twists to my head?

  • wow your hair is sooo long and pretty(: Is it extensions or how long did it take you to grow it that long?

  • is it true it lasts all day ??

  • How long does this last ??

  • it looks so good on your long hair! :)

  • im a hair dresser.... and i must say, i loooove ur ideas! im not gonna lie, i dont share these secrets to my clients cuz ill loose my job! haha.. but love it n very cute!

  • i have lots of layers in my hair will it matter? or will it look really weird?

  • um can i do this with wet hair ?plz reply :)

  • how do you get your hair so long ;o

  • @fghfghfghg22 it´s easy..just let it grow and dont use any heat ;)

  • can we put a little serum in the morning after untwisting it? or will it weigh the hair down?

  • R u wereing extensions

  • Your so beautiful

  • loved it, thank you :) you're really pretty btw.

  • so helpful thanx a lot!!

  • I just did this to my hair. I'm gunna sleep on it and hopefully it'll come out nicely

  • I tried it yesterday and it worked so thx :D

  • wow so easy! thanks alot for this tip :D

  • I' can't wait to try this and I love ur nails

  • When I tried this, I woke up and had about 20 mini dread-lock looking things.

  • i'm so excited to try this tonight (: do the ends look weird and straight like if they were when you french braid it? 'cause whenever i sleep in braids, it's always crimped.. and then bam. straight ends.

  • @angiful same here. :(

  • gorgeoussss :)

  • This style looks really great on you!

  • I did this and it looks crimped like a french braid :(( Tips? I thought I did it the same :(

  • @MakiheartsMac it could be because your hair is thinner than her's. try doing one instead of two :)

  • @MakiheartsMac it sorta looks like it but it actually doesnt. because it this looks more of loopy waves.

if u dont like how it turns out , sometimes mine doesnt came out the way i wanted it to , i use a 1/3 inch curling iron & wrap a few pieces of my hair around it.

its really cute! hope this helps(:

  • @MakiheartsMac Try not to twist the sections together very tightly and remember to twist both of the sections a lot before twisting them together :o

  • @MakiheartsMac I french twist my hair all the time! and you may have done the twist to tight cause thats what happens to me! try it a littl loser for more of a non crimped look! :) hope i helped!

  • @MakiheartsMac Its maybe becuz you have short layers, or u have a lot of layers, just a guess, becuz my hair is 4 that reason. i may be wrong

  • @MakiheartsMac idk if someone already said this but anyways maybe you should twist it more losely since that always helps my get less crimped waves

  • @MakiheartsMac I think, Its the ammount of dampness your hair had in it, if u put 2 much water it goes to a differnt kind of curl, if you make it the right ammount of water, just so it is damp (Not wet) It will b like it

Im just guessing by the times ive tried 2 to this srry if im wrong though

    :)

  • how long is your hair?? also whered u get ur shirt?

  • This is cool and I tried it but it made my hair even more damaged with more split ends :/

  • wow...that sooo pretty!!! i am soooo gonna do this tonight!

  • I love your videos! You're so pretty and your face is so clear and flawless! Would you mind sharing your skin care regime in a video?

  • I'll try this. I also think the french braid gives a weird crimp-like style.

  • Is it weird that I thought it was cute even with it not being taken out?

  • I done this last night, and my hair looks great. I went shopping for hours today and my waves still look perfect. Thanks<3.

  • tried this but because i recently had my hair thinned out it came out pretty frizzy like a french braid~can't wait for it to grow! so pretty on you though

  • u look soooo cute in this video!great tip btw!!! :) plz do a video about your haircare routine coz your hair looks so shiny and healthy!!!! :)

  • Can you sleep in these?

  • YESSS<333 this is the answer to the easy waves ive always wanted!!

  • I just did this to my hair and i'm gonna go to bed now :D so hopefully... mine turns out ok. I do have to say.. (coming from someone who has never french braided their own hair in their life.. i've never hardly worn ponytails, gosh D:) this was the hardest thing for me to figure out i had to try like 10 times on each side lol! I had fun learning though :D

  • I want your hair! ^^

  • was your hair damp before you french twisted?xxx

  • this is lovely and you have the sweetest voice

  • you have the best hair tutorials! Thanks!

  • Hi Yaya! i just wanted to tell you that I've already tried this more than 3 times, and it's so absolutely fail-proof! Every time I braid with this style, my hair comes out in beautiful waves the next morning. Wonderful tutorial!

  • This is my favorite heat free wave tutorial! I have shoulder length hair with layers and this had amazing results. Not as many loose ends, or as crimpy looking as braids. I don't have the hang of twisting the ends as fast as you do though! The best part is that the twists can be a normal hairstyle if you don't mind looking a little young. I never got the hang of french braiding, so I'm very happy that you had such a good tutorial for the twists. I can actually do it! Haha. Thanks!

  • Hi do you have any tip on how to grow hair faster?

  • i like this (:

  • I did this and it turned out amazing! The only problem is I can't do it again because the bottom part keeps untwisting :( any tip? Because I did that whole twist away from the face thing and it still untwisted.

  • do you think you can do more hair tutorials? I love them :) keep up the good work!

  • I love your heat free tutorials! cuz thats they way i prefer to do my hair, get it done whilst sleeping. so thanks you for all your help and great ideas! i can have variety now instead of just french braid crimps! x :)

  • you have awesome hair!!!!!!! what do you do with it in your usual routine (shampoo, conditioner, etc)?

  • So pretty! I will definitely try! btw...where did you get the shirt your wearing!? It's sooo adorable!! :D

  • i love it.

  • ooohh! this is so pretty, i will try.

  • sweeeeet. :D :D :D can't wait to take out my french twist tomorrow now haha.

  • this reminds me of eliza doolittles hair :)

  • You have such beautiful hair. Love it!

  • How do You Grow your Hair so long x

  • my hair was as long as urs... I regret SOOOO bad cutting it!! :(

  • Tutorial on french twist? =]

  • it looks sooo goood !! :)

  • I love your hair so so much!

  • I think this is incredible. Im going to try it out :D

  • Thank you!! i got a new hairstyle plus I LOVE braids... thank you once again!!!

  • When was the last time you cut your hair? I'm trying to grow mine out but it's taking FOREVER! Do you have any tips for me?

  • @yellowismylove

take Biotin vitamins! take an appropriate amount a day as instructed by the bottle after a meal. i've been taking it for about three months now and i've seen a significant difference! my hair normally grows really slow too! it's also god for your skin, nails, and metabolism.

  • it's funny bc when I was little I used to hate this braid cause my hair is naturally wavy and it just added more waves to it :))))

    looks gorgeous on you though..

  • so do you like this method better than french braiding?

  • @busydefyinglogic Yes!! Bc my hair gets really frizzy when I french braid =/

  • the link wont work for me :S
