  • I have only one big tank but there are more than 20 smaller tanks (20 - 30 - 20 or even smaller) for guppies and shrimps. We love the hobby.

  • if you don't mind me asking, how much money do you get from breeding these fish in the video?

  • @PokerJunkie916, i dont do it for the money. I'm just a guy who loves the hobby.

  • i got a 55,20 long, 20 tall, and two 10 gallon tanks. i have baby red belly piranhas tho , and a tank to hold feeders you gotta have extra tanks..!!

  • one of my extra tanks is called Alcatraz and is reserved for bullies

  • what kind of air line a pump do yo use?whats the out put and psi n such?

  • i think u should put some plants or at least gravel

  • No gravel or plants would make things a lot more difficult for me to clean those tanks. These tanks are for breeding not for show.

  • Remember, an only aquarium is a lonely aquarium. Breeding cichlids is very addictive.

  • Wow "The reason I have so many tanks is because my mbuna breed every month." is this true? how big/old do they have to be before they start spawning? I just got 3 small electric yellows and Want to go to a bigger tank very soon on average how much do they grow a year? (This is a general question for any one who knows. and I do know they will grow faster in warmer water. but...?)

  • My Yellow labs aka Electric Yellows breed every month. The females are about 2.5-3inch big and the males are about 3-3.5inch big. I got all my yellow labs in April of 08 and they were only 1.5inch big and now look how big they are now =D

  • so in sponge filter theres a airpump?! what goes in sponge !? could some one explain me the sponge filter

  • You need to hook up a sponge filter with an airline for it to work. Sponge filters are great because they make your small tanks super clear. Sponge filters dont actually suck up the waste like a real mechanical filter does. The point of a Sponge filter is for it to bulid up waste so there will be beneficial bacteria(good for the fish tanks) to live in them. You need air so the bacteria can breath. I think that is the basic of explaining the sponge filter.

  • Thank you for not saying FRIES. That drives me nuts. Fish have fry, potatoes have fries LOL

Anyway, LOVE the new vid. You can never have too many tanks :)

I've got baby bolivians!!!! Total surprise, considering I had a bolivian "expert" look at mine and tell me I had ALL MALES LOL

25 fry, I don't know if they will survive, I'm doing my best. Some of the eggs got fungus, and even though I removed them I'm not sure if it affected the fry that hatched. They are "wrigglers". new for me!

  • Aww! Best of luck! Thanks for watching.

  • The trick is not to fill up your extra tank with new fish ;P We have like five seven tanks, and some how they all turned into permanent homes for a bit. Now we are back down to three tanks as permanent homes. Good video.

  • The reason I have so many tanks is because my mbuna breed every month! I need room for the new ones and the old ones. It's amazes me when they all swim up to the tank (thinking i would feed them). thanks for watching!
