Why are the graphic's quality decreasing with time? :( I wish the same animators who do the fantasy themed ones did the modern movies as well! In Fairytopia, pegasus Secret and Butterfly the images were much better.

I'm a college student and still, I like watching barbie movies! But i really miss the old type, the one with princesses, castles, princes and the true fairy tales. Don't we, both grown-up people and kids, love it because we still and want to live and believe in fairy tales! There are already tons of animation movies out there about the modern world. To me, somehow the modernized barbie movies are not that special and enchanting anymore compare to the old ones.
Same and I miss kelly sheridan's voice which was perfect for barbie and now they've replaced her! The animations and songs seems so rubbish now. I like the princess and the pauper, rapunzel and swan lake the best. The animation looks rubbish and the plots seem worse. :(

I saw the first barbie movie when I was maybe 9 or 10 years old and my mom used to love to watch them with me. There is only one audience for this style, the tweens! My mom and I just stopped buying them. It's only to one audience. :( NOT SMART
I still prefer the fairytales even now, because they CAN appeal to everyone. I saw "Barbie in the Nutcracker" - the first, classic one - and everyone in that theatre enjoyed it. Kids, adults, everyone. So they can't tell me that kids only want to see modern and fashion stuff. Like you said, it's only appealing to one audience (and, if I'm honest, the tween audience has more than enough stuff aimed at it).

Honestly the movie I was more looking forward to was Barbie in a mermaid tale (I like it very much), but I must say that even if Barbie in a fashion fairytale surprise me in a good way, I'm no so sure I'm gonna see this one. My favorite one are the fairytopia series, barbie and the nutcracker, barbie and the magic of pegasus and Barbie and the 12 dancing princess, Barbie as rapunzel and to finish, Barbie in a mermaid tale ^^.

I like the older ones based off of fairytale-like stories better not so much the actual "fairy" tales and i agree she used to look more human i think the way they changed her face and plastered her with makeup in the movies make the character look fake (and yes I understand I'm talkin about a doll) and cheap and they don't inspire little girls anymore they just kinda engrain stereotypes into their impressionable minds

Being a teenager (14 year old), and can say I completely understand why companies would want to push their products on us. Most 14 year olds (at least me and my friends) spend their money on the first appealing/relatable thing they see...but this? Mattel should have let it alone. Even at my age I had a closet obsession with barbie movies until recently. The new barbie movies are in a few words: insulting and unnecessary...

I have been watching this movies from the first one and I have to say the newer ones are wost and wost. What ever happen happen to when barbie would teach us a good lesson. Plus I also miss the songs, it feels like they need sing in the newer movies. One more thing I liked barbie's old look and voice better...

With the classic fairytales it used to be age appropriate for everyone, and I'm an adult.
I saw the first barbie movie when I was maybe 9 or 10 years old and my mom used to love to watch them with me. There is only one audience for this style, the tweens! My mom and I just stopped buying them. It's only to one audience. :( NOT SMART

I still prefer the fairytales even now, because they CAN appeal to everyone. I saw "Barbie in the Nutcracker" - the first, classic one - and everyone in that theatre enjoyed it. Kids, adults, everyone. So they can't tell me that kids only want to see modern and fashion stuff. Like you said, it's only appealing to one audience (and, if I'm honest, the tween audience has more than enough stuff aimed at it).

Mattel have already said they are re-considering their decision about replacing Kelly Sheridan as the voice of Barbie due to the number of complaints they have received. To end I know that many fans miss the classic Barbie movies and wonder why it does more traditional fairy tales, the people mattel has a huge list of ideas for the Barbie movies, I particularly like to see film adaptations of turn Barbie books and dragon ice, Barbie and the fairies of beautiful jewelry and other tales from the world's Barbie, so staff have patience, I know one day will release Barbie movies based on fairy tales like Cinderella, Snow White, The Sleeping Beauty and so on.

Honestly the movie I was more looking forward to was Barbie in a mermaid tale (I like it very much), but I must say that even if Barbie in a fashion fairytale surprise me in a good way, I'm no so sure I'm gonna see this one. My favorite one are the fairytopia series, barbie and the nutcracker, barbie and the magic of pegasus and Barbie and the 12 dancing princess, Barbie as rapunzel and to finish, Barbie in a mermaid tale ^^.
