@sickstar14 Cobain was nirvana only after they signed their big ass contract with DGC. Up until then, nirvana was a loud and raw band that had a partial success, mainly in the UK. So, it practically means that for being nirvana all by himself, he had to be THAT famous, with help of a drummer like dave, who brought tons of energy into their live shows act and was a great studio drummer. Krist supplied cool bass line licks and not root note picking like most bassists did in rock music back then.
