  • @hotdogsinspace No one knows... Maybe kill em?

  • what is bast DOING at the end of the wise man's fear???

  • i love this guy!

  • He is Elodin. I think Elodin just like himself.

  • I want to have Pat Rothfuss' education

  • Fustrating =P Kvothe would never mis-pronounce a word like that!

  • He's certainly no one to be trifled with.

  • He's Manet! Spent forever at University :)

  • the Four Corners would make a good RPG setting

  • second book is due to come out March 1st. Don't miss it!

  • I've read the book 6 times since freshman year

  • So 'fustrating'

  • I want to take a pair of scissors and shorten his beard and hair.

  • @SamarGr

You don't understand the power of the beard.

  • @jaknife99 because Samar isn't a beardmaster!

  • I won't care of the sequel takes another 14 years. I know it'll be good.

  • i love the book

  • yeah, that was annoying me too :P

  • Agreed, all I got out of it was there are 10 jots in a talent...thats about it.

  • i totally love this guy

  • Hope the next will be as good as the first one cause most of the second chapters arn't so good I Believe in Patrick

  • @moenchgmbhco Yeah, but most writers don't take enough time to finish the second book after the first is out. That's why I'm happy that Pat takes so much time - the book will surely be as perfect as the first one.

  • Wow! not bad for a series writer. Oh sorry - fantasy writer. Well - same difference anyway I guess. Anyone think fantasy/series authors are actually capable of writing a book that isn't part of a set? Still - I guess 25 years ago no author would possibly believe he could get £45 for one story. Now that's what I call REAL incentive to write. We used to have something called "pester power" re. children, and with the total price of a STORY now I guess teenagers parents just love this :P

  • have u a problem with fantasy literature

  • Yeah but I dunno how to pronounce Quother lol Ima go ask my sis...

  • In the first part of the interview he pronounces it. Don't know where, exactly, bu it's in the second half, I think. I think it's like "quote", but with a v instead of a w-sound.

  • Terry Goodkinds Sword of Truth series main character Richard saved the world twice so it can be done!

  • OMG!!! U READ THAT 2!!! SO DID I!! no one ever reads both here in PR. and they kind of remembers me of remind me of each other. its kind of amazing. bet i fell in love more with Kvothe.

  • How to do pronounce his name? I say it as Koth but my sis says as Kwothe

  • Less talk, more writing, Patrick....everything about the release of the second book has been incredibly poorly planned. I thought it was funny how quickly you dumped on amazon for putting a "false release date" when you have clearly said more than once that you had already written then entire series! News flash: a completed book doesn't require 60,000 new words a mere TWO MONTHS before the original release date! Please just tell us the real reason it isn't out! Loved the first book...

  • seems like a very well-spoken and fun guy to be around.

  • Greatest book I have read in a very long time.

  • The suspense is killing me....I can't wait for book 2 any longer!!! lol

  • Patrick seems like a really great guy. I Loved the book. Can't wait for more!

  • Ohgod ohgod I love urban fantasy. :]

Great piece-of-interview. :DDD I can't wait for the next one. :3

  • "I'm just happy as a pig in shit!"

So am I, Pat, so am I.

I like to think I save the world at least twice a week.
