  • I will now try to ride this A330 from Singapore-Perth-Singapore.....then Dubai - Singapore - Dubai B777-200ER...can't wait for this day...

  • A330-200 is with its more than 13 000 km operational radius no short-haul airliner :-)

  • Airbus A330 is lighter, thus consumes less fuel than B777. However, A330 carries less passengers and cargo compares to B777. So, in regional routes, A330 is a better aircraft than B777.

  • @zj01 I hear its cargospace has comparable size of the early B747´s...A330 can fly over oceans and sparsely populated areas due to its beyond 180 minutes ETOPS...It´s even better than B777 in this quality. B777 has larger capacity and can fly absolutely the longest routes. So that both B777 and A330 are the best airliners in specific features.

  • The aircraft may carrie Italian Australians.

  • 777 way better than A330, its 50 seats smaller

  • @efastMixer that's a pretty simplistic view.

  • How is this medium haul?

Why do they use these smaller business class seats unlike long haul ones since I could've flown a shorter route with SIA and get the long haul product?

Plus I think they're lowering their product standard with this aircraft since the business class seats are around the same size as average airlines. Not the huge ones :(

Maybe its because they might be replacing them with 787s and this is just temporary, but we'll still ahve to wait a few years

  • anyone can explain what's the meaning of Y class C class or F class???

  • Y economy C business and F first

  • SIA got their compensation(a330) from airbus due to late delivery of the A380.

  • why does SIA change 777-200 to A330-300??

  • dunno maybe they needed to upgrade their fleet of short haul aircraft and the 330 was the best choice for what they wanted

  • i see, but Singapore - Adelaide route is not a short haul, is it?

  • Approx 7 hours

  • @theairlineslover92

They sometimes give the good routes with very high PAX long haul stuff and others with this one.

e.g. Hong Kong is way closer but get the a380 treatment

  • Those 772 . The older ones . Are starting to get worn out . So SIA replace them with A330-300.

  • oh i see.

but it carries less passengers, doesn't it?

  • Yeah , That's right !!

  • About 40 less in Y

  • Aren't they leasing these A330's untill the Boeing 787's arrive?

  • loss of demand I suppose

  • yup! i think so!

  • @theairlineslover92

Freakin conspiracy I tell you. They are creating a false demand by reducing the number of seats so they can justify increasing the prices of their tickets.

  • @theairlineslover92 ur a fucking faggot can't they to have more passengers on board u dumn asss go to hell! bitch1

  • @theairlineslover92 A330 is leased for 5 or 6 years until the B787 and A350 comes ....

  • A330 is still one of best!

  • The only thing at YPAD that tops the A330's is the SIA Cargo 747-400 on Saturdays (and sometimes Wednesdays).

  • WHOAAA MAN THAT IS FULLY PWNAGE

  • about 1998-early 00s. Cathay used

a343s to ADL for a bit too, now using

    a333s

  • The A330-300 isnt a bad plane. Its a very smooth ride as too is the A380-800.

  • A330-200 is a magnificent plane to fly on I fly them all the time with US Airways you barely feel them touch the ground on landing

  • Will be a shame to see the 777-200 go.

  • Wow...this is the first time I see the A330 in SIA colors.

  • correction, *into adelaide*

  • reminds me of when they used a340s inro adelaide

  • well, using a newer plane would give more confidence to passengers , eventhough in my opinion the B777 is a great plane. Singapore Airlines first B777 was back in 1997, so its time for them to use a newer plane.

  • why wud singapore airlines degrade from a 777 to a a330 :( srsly???

    any1 know??

  • you mean upgrade the A330-300 is a much better plane for pilot and passenger better looking to

  • unfortunately mate its safety record doesnt do it justice. the 777 is a far safer plane but yes the 333 is a nice plane to ride in and look at.

  • What are you talking about? The tripple seven and the 333 are equal in safety and standards. The problem is the airline and its maintain works...

  • how many 777's do u know of that have crashed? BA at LHR is the only one that comes to mind as an emergency landing? what about A330's? i bet there were more injuries in the mid air Qantas incident then there were in the LHR 777 landing.

  • Do you also count the accidents of car companies and make conclusions about it? Airbus A330 have had 2 accidents with fatal injuries. The problems in most of the plane crashes in general are the pilots and the maintenance. So is it with the Airbus. All other allegations are made by newspapers with their unserious reports...

  • What about the latest one - AF 447? 228 people, down to the pitot tubes. Yes, manufactured by Thales, but it is still the aircraft's fault.

  • Nope that was Pilot error they didn't penetrate the turbulence at the correct speed

  • No, it was the pitot tubes. Pilots played no part in AF 447, they were being given wrong information by their instruments!

  • Their general Computer has fualts too. And thats got nothing to do with Minatenece or pilot error.

  • Yes as is mentioned below i can onlt think of 1 major incident for each, which means the A330 wins because we can blame french pilots for it

  • To tell the truth..... those engines don't match the aircraft!

  • DAM IT DAM IT DAM IT!!!!!!! Why did the 777 had to leave :(

  • Bye 777 :(

  • HELLO a330:)

  • very nice! i find the SQ A330 a beauty!

  • Yeah at first when i used to see the Cathay Pacific A330 and the Qantas one aswell come into Adelaide daily i wasnt a big fan of them at first, was more of a 777-200 fan. But the design has grown on me since ive been filming them. Plus if you look at the interiors and technology in them it screams european where as boeing being american are kind of like their car industry still living in the past and think a few bolt ons to an old design is a quick fix. BMW vs GM, Airbus vs Boeing.
