Wow. While I'm not sure it work in a game, I'm totally down with the angular, mechanical design for a lot of these summons. The designs for Ifrit and Odin particular really intrigued me. I agree. While the summons might not be as intricate and polished as those for a main game might be, like them or not you can't deny their creativity. Ifrit and Odin struck me as especially neat. It's a pity Odin couldn't do more, he hardly moves during his entire appearance. ^^;

Actually, Pist summoned the GunDragon that appears at the beginning and in the end. I don't recollect there ever being a Bahamut summon in the anime.

While I wouldnt like this way of summoning summons in a FF game I DO like this way, its different, unique, and, while it would be tedius getting all the powder or whatever it is that is used (unless you get everthing you need straight off the bat and/or can buy it), it still would be awsome to be able to summon summons like that.

Well kaze appears to just spawn this soil out of thin air. I have a feeling the spinning blade mechanism may produce it somehow. It may explain it during the series but I can't remember.

Actually, Soil is apparently produced from people when they die in his world. The 'screw' mechanism (spinning thing) is what's used to extract the power from the Soil. In one of the flashback scenes, you see Kaze's love turn herself into Soil for him.

don't worry, It has shocked all the people I have told, so you are not alone... apparently I'm the only person I know that studies what they watch. It's called Final Fantasy: Unlimited After and the prequel Final Fantasy: Unlimited Before... the fact that they didn't change the tile much makes it hard to just google for them

I thought Kaze and Kumo did die but the kids in the series (forgot their names :S) brought Kaze back into being somehow because of their link to Ultima Weapon. That's why the Demon Gun is broken or something, no idea.

Meh, Kaze was put into a coma after defeating Chaos along with Makenshi/Kumo. This was thanks to the damage inflicted in the battle, and due to the fact that neither of both used all their power, Chaos managed to resurrect.

Its all in the Drama CD of FFU.
