They should've done something like Bambi II. Like the story could take somewhere during Aurora's 16 years of hiding with the fairies living a normal life. I liked her much better as a peasant anyway. Taking a stroll in a beautiful forest and singing to animals. AND it would give Maleficent a chance to come in. It's just not the same without her.

These princess shorts aren't a bad idea, but they need to put more into them. Like, when they made the Little Mermaid and Aladdin tv shows. I thought those were pretty good. They learned lessons while on adventures, so they were exciting. Of all the stories to skip on excitement Sleeping Beauty should not be one of them. It had one of the coolest hero/villain fight scenes of any Disney movie and, imo, THE greatest evil villain. How could they not have some excitement in there? Too sad :(

Thanks for uploading this. Aurora is my favorite princess so, even though this is a far cry from the greatness of the original movie, I'm still very happy it exists :) Everyone seems upset about her voice but I didn't think it was that bad. No Mary Costa of course but not terrible considering that this isn't a full length feature (nor was 6 mil spent on it (and that was in the 50s) and 10 yrs of work put into it). Too bad they make them silly instead of substantial.

@buddygirl06 More than likely the person who originally voiced Aurora is either too old to do the voice or had died of old age. The movie was made about 50 years ago.

@khrystiekitten I believe Mary Costa (the original voice of Aurora) is still alive (I can't find a death date anyway) but she is very old now (She was born in 1930). I have the special edition of Sleeping Beauty on DVD and I watched all the extras, including the interview with her and, do to her age, she didn't sound very good. So I don't think she could do the voice of Aurora again, which is unfortunately b/c she did have an amazing voice (she was an opera singer after all) ^_^
