I actually just got down here without using any sort of slowfall. At the very top of the waterfall is a tall rock jutting out a bit. I aimed myself on my mount so that when I jumped off it I landed in the river at the bottom.

The rock is at 3:11 where the RI in "right" is.

@Norion84 sorry man but in the Cata it was totally destroyed and alliance is there. Go there and take pics while you can before it becomes this: go to search and type in "shatterspear" and hit the Machinima vid.

In Catalcysm this place is going to be accessable by normal travel, or flying mount. These Shatterspear Trolls will join the Horde, and are the only Trolls that can be druids. If your a Troll druid, your a Shatterspear troll.

Where is your source for this? Everything I've read from blues has said the area will be accessible normally and obviously everyone knows Troll druids will be playable but I have yet to hear anything about the Shatterspear being druids. I also watched Blizzcon on DTV, fwiw.

@Videooooo1 This is false as you see in th battle for the echo islands. The druids were a secret society among the darkspear trolls that were abandoned when Zalazane took over. They hid as tigers and didn't show back up until Vol'jin decided to grab his balls and take down the fucker that everyone was killing at level 8. It was perviously believed that due to how close the shatteredspear trolls were to Moonglade they were druids but this wasn't the case at all.

I went today (although I was playing as my gnome, gnomes FTW ^^) and the place is still easily accessible and there is no reason why horde characters wouldn't be able to go there :) Lovely little guide and very nicely done too!

I also didn't need any slow fall, I followed the series of cliffs and ledges down. Just ate each time I landed.

Because I'm Horde and curious: Do the trolls show as yellow, or red to Ally?

Also, in case it's possible to get in trouble with GMs by going here, I've heard you can trigger the Local Defense message with 'Darkshore is under attack' for Hordies by attacking the trolls. DS is Ally territory so that's prolly a good way to get reported. :P

Very nice video! I've been wanting to go there for over two years and just did it now. Fyi, no need for Noggenfogger, cloak, etc., I was able to jump all the way down. If you try this, just try jumping to trees and ledges and eat/bandage/heal with each jump.

The Parachute cloak is a fairly rare engineer item. The best way to get it is to get Gnomish engineering and keep renewing your membership card (4% chance the renewal gift will contain the plans for the cloak) or buy it on the auction house. Noggenfogger elixir you get from...no prizes...Noggenfogger in Gadgetzan for doing a quest for him.

If your engineering is high enough to tinker, you can just enchant your cloak with a parachute.

It's trained via a trainer. Your information is Pre-Wrath.

me and my party on wildhammer made it here. huge clan called enokcuay on alliance. We had a pally with res and bubble jump down the huge cliffs and right before landing use bubble, same goes for me the mage with iceblock. we then ressed everyone till we got there, whored screen shots, summoned a bunch of clannies, and then killed hundreds of them for cloth and money. We also found nessy again in the same night.

I made it without any slowfall or other things like that. Don't jump like the guy in this movie - just go left and find "natural steps" but be careful - with my troll rogue on 58lvl in almost full armor I lose 1500HP while jumping from one step to another.

I found it's a great way to get up there on top of the Timbermaw Hold entrance.
