A lot of people also think school uniforms are wonderful, but I say they're yucch, and so do about two-thirds of parents in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where I live.
@Pocockable I totally agree with you on that. Most people think bananas are really terrific, but they're awful and yucchy to me! So you and I are in the same boat. :)
This sketch was made the same year that Heather Graham and Uma Therman were born. I am not sure about Jennifer Lopez, but I think that she might have been born in 1970 as well.
@TelephoneRock4ever Maybe Matt Vogel could perform him, hey have you ever noticed that many of Carroll Spinney's female voices sound like Lady Elaine Fairchilde? but that's alright because I think they're cool, I wish he did those types of voices more often, especially his Bostonian Daws Butler-esque voices, those were cool too.
Aww, cute little song. I love Farley soooo much! But doesn't his voice sound a little different from the voice he had in "Sound It Out" (the song with Same Sound Brown)?
Who wants ice cream with pickles in it?? That's just disgusting. :-P
I remember this skit as a little kid. It teaches us that it's okay to have different opinions of things and we should try to respect people's likes and dislikes.

@Pocockable
It did make getting my kids ready for school a shade easier, less quibbling over what to wear.

That's too bad. Personally, I find them very "a-"peel"-ing".

Farley's a very handsome muppet.

@Pocockable: He is, isn't he? Besides Grover, he's the cutest Muppet on Sesame Street. I wish they brought the poor guy back.

At an ice cream parlour in my city (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), believe it or not, they have DILL PICKLE ICE CREAM!
Pocockable 1 year ago
@Pocockable: Oh, that's disgusting. :-P Have you ever eaten it?

The fact that it is disgusting is, more or less, the point. That is why they gave the line to Oscar the Grouch!

YES!!! I remember this one, all right, except fot the ladies' hats. Hilarious song!
Thanks for finding it!

Thanks for posting this. Every couple years it goes through my head. The Blue guy has issues with personal space in addition to being so uptight! :)

Ice cream without pickles in it? Blecch!

I wish that Mr. Spinney would do the "Dynomutt: Dog Wonder" vocal routine on every character he played.

That girl with the lunchbox. That's the
same designed one that was in the clip
with Sherlock Hemlock & Ernie as they
solved the case of the missing sandwich.
I knew that prop looked familiar, but this
is the first time i've ever seen this clip
on YouTube. Absolutely amazing stuff.

How do you know it aired in that episode?

Hey, from 00:31 to 00:49, isn't that the same little girl that teaches Cookie Monster how to make an egg sandwich just like hers?

Doubt it would ever get made today. These days we're all supposed to agree that everything is wonderful.

No, I'm sure this skit could be remade. Even today, it's okay to have different opinions, like culpit said.
