  • That is not a world record in fact you didn't even go all the way down on some. Not to mention your doing chin ups which are easier than pull ups. Your hands are facing the wrong way!

  • agreed I only do pull ups this way... except I reverse the grip(in parkour, we aren't supposed to chinup... or atleast its rare) when I do them in the seated position like you they're much harder because you have to maintain control. NICE POST!

  • I just tried it both ways. Kept legs straight and used the same range of motion he used. It's hard to get to 30, he's in good shape but his style is WAY easier than your standard dead hang chin ups. I'd say one rep of his is 40% of the difficulty of a standard dead hang. Plus he was going very fast and using swinging momentum, which is way easier to get high reps out of. I got 35 with his method and only 15 using slow controlled dead hangs.

  • You were doing chin ups, and were not even extending your legs fully. Next time do it with yours extending down fully and pull up style.

  • Try this, have a strong friend there, and you do the pullups shirtless. Then each pullup you get punched in the gut. See if you can do 50 of those pullups alright!
