Although the vibe of the comments for this video are rather hostile, I do have something to say. I love this song. I love Paul McCartney and his music. I read that Paul wrote this song when he was a teenager and that Frank Sinatra passed when he was offered a chance to record it. He thought it was a joke. I think Paul proves in this performance just how good this little number can be.

I know the film clip is from the '70s, but wasn't this song originally demoed in '68? When Sinatra rejected it, Macca should have fobbed it off on Georgie Fame, whom it would have suited perfectly. Would've loved to hear him sing it!

I also believe this song to be written during Paul's Beatle days maybe even pre Beatles. I remember Paul saying he wanted to be a songwriter and writing for the likes of Sinatra etc. It is true Sinatra rejected it., snippet of the song does appear on the "McCartney" album and this clip is from One Hand Clapping film from 1974

Sorry to be the barer of bad news...it's not Beatles era. It's from the TV special One Hand Clapping with Wings, circa 1973/74. However, I must admit...from his apperance, he could easily be 1968 Beatle Paul!
