Although the vibe of the comments for this video are rather hostile, I do have something to say. I love this song. I love Paul McCartney and his music. I read that Paul wrote this song when he was a teenager and that Frank Sinatra passed when he was offered a chance to record it. He thought it was a joke. I think Paul proves in this performance just how good this little number can be.
@publicanimal9 Sorry this isn't my essay for English class. It's called the computer/abbreviations/and non-caps,etc. Your not smart for using the word ignoramus, you probably didn't even know what it meant until you saw it on some stupid ass show, I wouldn't be surprised if you had to look it up in the dictionary. Also, not too mention the last comment before me, you failed to spell "refers" as reveres, and the word "guess" as gues, nice one genius.
@Pat0B Also, I meant 'reveres'! What would refers him mean you idiot? True I missed an s on guess, but that was a simple slip on the keyboard. You however have considered your responses and come up with abstract infantile drivel. You're pathetic!
@publicanimal9 Listen, I'll tell you once, I don't give a shit. You're acting smart on YouTube. It has nothing to do with being smart, I doubt anyone is uneducated on this channel, and if you get your dick hard from trying to show of your cheap ass California State Community College education, thats alright with me. Why don't you go out it's Saturday, your responses are very quick, assuming you have nothing better to do. After this comment "your're" going to wait 2 hours to answer.
This is a great song, just goes to show you that the Beatles Have Plenty Of Lost Classic, There is no other band that has did this feat, What do the stones have Exile On Main Street, Nothing can compares to the songwriting talents of Lennon and McCartney!
@caprice6 Paul wrote it with a view to Frank using it. Sadly, he never did. Frank wasn't realy a Beatle fan although he did perform and refer to 'Something' as the greatest love song ever...trouble was, he said it was by Lennon & McCartney!
There's a fragment of this song in the final part of "Hot as sun/Sunglasses" song of the "McCartney album", when it says "...nothing doing... ah ah aha hahhhhaa"
I know the film clip is from the '70s, but wasn't this song originally demoed in '68? When Sinatra rejected it, Macca should have fobbed it off on Georgie Fame, whom it would have suited perfectly. Would've loved to hear him sing it!
I also believe this song to be written during Paul's Beatle days maybe even pre Beatles. I remember Paul saying he wanted to be a songwriter and writing for the likes of Sinatra etc. It is true Sinatra rejected it., snippet of the song does appear on the "McCartney" album and this clip is from One Hand Clapping film from 1974
Sorry to be the barer of bad news...it's not Beatles era. It's from the TV special One Hand Clapping with Wings, circa 1973/74. However, I must admit...from his apperance, he could easily be 1968 Beatle Paul!
lol this not a beatles song people in fact paul mccartney never even released this song he attempted to several times he even tried giving it to frank sinatra but go ahead wiki it it is defintely not a beatles song
@Rats4Cats Um, well, you know al the Beatles have solo careers, wich paul and John had the most succesful out of the four, so, this is definatly Paul's solo work, google it sometime.
well of course i know they all have solo work but I didn't really think this was paul's work it didn't sound like him and didn't sound like the song that he would write thats just my opinion...
....i like to tell my love...take care...love you...this is something i would hate him to contemplate...im here...i hope hes still there for me too...pls..
Who would bash you when you're telling the absolute truth? I mean, half the girls that I know love the Beatles, including myself in that group, of course, think Paul is immensely hot and all of them think that he's at least good-looking.
@motherbrain86 Some guys are so gay about gay comments..even if youre thinking a million miles away from g-a-y things....typical hey? or they condemn the music as crap..someone is better...sigh
Juas.
bit o' history: i'm not sure if anyone's said this yet, but there's a snipet of this song at the end of "Hot as Sun/Glasses" on McCartney, Paul's first solo record, which came out in 1970. The More you Know..

This is what I'm talking about, people! There's absolutely nothing musical Paul McCartney can't do. Try to find it. Good luck.
