@geohuete94 No usually you still run at least one in the effects unit when your tracking. The editing done while mixing will cut out all the noise when he's not playing but the 5150 is the nosiest beast of them all and you HAVE to have one while playing because there's still noise in the background when your playing. I love my 5150 but god damn it's a noisy bitch.

@snazygitrst makes sense to me, The 5150 with a tube screamer is nasty only reason its not more popular is that's the only sound it does well, the clean tone sucks balls. we recorded at a studio that had a bunch of stuff. Marshalls, Mesa, you name it and we used a 5150 with a tube screamer for high gain and a fender powering a marshall cab for clean and low gain. The recto does everything good, its the better all around amp, but in the studio "all around" doesn't matter.
