You can see it here, when Hopper calls it "my movie," and Fonda talks about how "I" spent the $392.00 on Jack Nicholson. And Fonda makes a veiled reference to the dispute when he jokes, "Actually I'm going to tell you how Jack got the part." The unnamed actor who wouldn't work for scale was Rip Torn.
