My friends and I used to go to each other's houses, do our homework by 3:30, then hunker down to watch at 4, every day without fail.

I don't watch anime any longer and haven't for years, but I will never deny Toonami's place in my childhood. It taught me to be brave as Saiyans, resolute as Sailor Scouts, clever as Gundam pilots, and to always be prepared for anything (like space pirates).

I truly pity kids today who don't have Toonami, because the shows they have now will never come close.

I truly feel bad for the kids and the young adults who didn't get to grow up with this stuff like I did. Toonami showcased some of the best anime in the world. I remember running home from school to catch DBZ and other shows like it and then staying up late at night to watch other shows it had. I look at it now and I just feel disgusted to what it turned into. Cartoon Network did what MTV did a long time ago...become a hollow shell of its former glory. I pray it comes back...
