The film is much less harsh than the book, which is a masterpiece, as are all of A.J.Cronin's novels. Thankyou anyway for the upload.

The movie has an entirely different tone than the book and I don't like it at all. The book is exceptional.

@coralarch No, where did you get that idea? I've read five of his novels and only this one has a train wreck in it.
