They played this at the Earth Day concert on the Mall in DC. My first time seeing them live and it was beautiful.

Saw them in 1999 in Milwaukee. Standing room only and got there early so was front and center, and I mean FRONT AND CENTER. Was one fo the best concerts of my life. I''m a little older (and a clean cut accountant) and I swear Wayne looked right at me (and my wife) and the look on his face was - "man it's cool that someone like you would go through two hours of standing around just to be THERE". All in my mind, likely, it was probably his overall joy at performing his craft.

I love The Flaming Lips. I really like this shit though. Like the early, still punks on acid feel. Now they're way more Soft Bulletiny. That's how they play now. And Wayne doesn't even play guitar live now (Watch UFOS at the zoo). Now don't get my wrong, I love the lips. But I wish they'd go back to their old ways.
