Two mistakes here. The medic clearly expected the soldier to jump left when he popped uber. The soldier didn't, but the big mistake is that the medic DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING. Normally in a CEVO match, these teams are on vent and communicating well. Bad comms = broken combo here.

the best (medic is my first class) is when the medic proper to where the defense is choose the one he want (sentry nest around corner, pyro sentry nest on a surface soldier) and the goal of the medic is to attract the shots of the sentry so the one that attack it has all he needs to shoot it as his will. Btw sometimes I uber scouts (not all, only those i trust) and they make beautiful rampage.

100% your fault maple and hilarious as well in that it takes you about 4 seconds to realise you dont have uber anymore so to counter that you run into some map furniture :D Hysterical.

Also Pheonix, vs multiple sentries, one sentry at close range or a turtiling engi/s, the pyro is immesurably better a heal/uber target than a soldier (when is a sollie better? I dont know). As for effectiveness vs the enemy players, that depends on enemy team composition and player skill more than the class.

Lastly even if he did pop his uber without you saying to, you should have ran in with him and had a whack at taking out most of the defenders, or should have ran off to a less dangerous spot, so you dieing still = your fault.

Uber pyros are way overrated. Flamethrowers don't get too far when their owner is stuck against the skybox or bouncing on someone else's flamethrower.

yes but even then sollies and demoes are complete wastes as thier rockets/nades are more easily dealt with than a pyro is to juggle, and heavys are a waste as apart from toe to toe thier damage is shite and effected by cover, and the heavy is too slow to chase properly. So your not left with much. pyroes have good damage and mobility, which means are the best uber really.

It isn't easy to juggle a pyro, true, but we're talking sentries. His feet leave the floor, he can kiss the win goodbye. The demo kicks ass when it comes to sentries. And he doesn't have to be stood next to them either. I'm with you on the heavy though.

yes but any pyro with a half decent mind wont leave the floor of thier own violition. And when ubered I cant remember ever leaving the floor due to explosives (apart from sticky stacks, but a pyro would AB them away, maybe im lucky) I assume ubering gives you some sort of physics resistance.

So in that regard the only reliable way to get a pyro airborne would be with another pyro abing him, and if thats the case he will just as easily ab the rockets/nades/stickies away.

Rockets alone are enough to raise ubered pairs off the floor, albeit briefly, except the heavy. It's harder to deflect eight stickies than one pyro, in my experience at least, in other words on pubs.

I dont remember ever being raised as an ubered sollie, though admittedly about 95% of my time is heavy :D (I love the little guy :D).

And if theyre trying to sticky a sentry/sentries the stickies will usually be close together and airblast has a big blast radius.

Bah the only difference between pubs and competative play is on competative play your teammates whine more :D, at least thats my experience, so no real need to put pup :P

See, even with equally skilled players, a lot is down to chance. My money'd always be on the demo to cause more trouble though, for the reasons I've listed. Good demos and good soldiers are both more effective and more common than good pyros IMO, besides everything else.

Being a medic myself, we have the purpose to be the first to gain the aggro of the sentry gun to be the ones with the knockback so the ubered offensive class can be more at ease to get it. The medic fucked up because he didn't have the focus and still went on... I mean how the fuck don't you notice you have the focus? =/ Communication and experience is key to succeeding, and yes, the medic was the one at fault in this case.
