Everybody has a lost or forgotten or overlooked classic that friends have never heard of, and this is mine. Aristotle's definition of a city is a space that can be taken in one view. And what a view of London Michael Bentine gives. Feel sorry for Michael. Always seems to get overlooked. I liked his view of the world, sane and humane. Love the music too. This really captures a time and a place and a people. It's still there if you get out of your cars and walk.
@lonegroover This film is a very entertaining and interesting period piece. In some ways it's dated but it also shows some aspects of London that are timeless, Trafalgar Square looks scruffier in the closing shot than it does nowadays and there's a lot more pigeons. But give me early 21st Century London instead of 1960s London any day!

Great film, especially if you're keen on spotting locations in the West End of London.
