I think that is an extremely valid point..It seems like a shame that we are literally junking tons of operational vehicles. I understand in many cases the vehicle is truly a clunker...but in other cases I have seen some cars ready to be junked from the program that people without a car would kill to drive. Also, in light of the whole environmentally friendly kick I can't imagine how much crap is ending up in our landfills from this program...I think your idea of retrofitting the cars is great

NISMO Z, SMASH! I mean damn the thing already pulls .99G on .2G less than a Z06. I am sure this thing will KILL anything withint its power range. including Evo's and STi. I mean its doing 0-60 in 4.7 already. 4.5 seconds shouldn't be too far off, and 13.1's shouldn't be too far off either, all while pulling more than 1G. Of course this is all speculation.

I'm certainly pumped about ANY auto show! Design-wise, I'm not sold on the 370Z. The Nismo 370Z kind of looks like a Japanese Porsche, but I like it. The new LR4 looks sweet, though I'm not a real SUV guy. The Range Rover Sport has some SERIOUS numbers, but a high-horsepower SUV makes me uneasy. That Acura ZDX seems like Acura's version of the X6. Patrick Long is an amazing racing talent. Nice to see the GM Puma Prototype. Cool show. Have fun at the NYIAS!
