@AWTAssassin Absolutely, this macbook can also run crysis 2 if you were looking for that as well. If you're still not satisfied with the framerate, then you can always overclock your processor. :D

@josias417 Yeah it should work, just use bootcamp, some people are crazy and try to run games through parallels or vmfusion which will obviously never work except for non-graphic intensive games.

@NikTee123 No, as the Windows Virus would be not able to read the OSX Filesystem (HFS+) and, even if it could, the Winodws Virus would not be mac Compatible =D

I just got a studio xps 16 for nearly half the price of this machine. I came from an early 08 MBP and am going through snowleopard withdrawl. I miss the taller screen of the mac. The xps has an i5 and a moblie radeon 4670 with a gig of ram so it handles games pretty well (probably better than a new mbp). Color is better but battery life sucks. I don't know if I want to keep it or take it back and wait for more $ to get a new mbp or what. The studio is a good machine don't get me wrong.

@dmc040 In terms of gaming you should look up the benchmarks, they get more FPS in Vista then in W7, I also noticed this on my desktop, but the performance on desktop and browsing is better in W7..

My Dad just bought the new 17" with Parallels. If he ever gets a nasty virus, he can just reinstall Windows clean. It doesn't affect OS X at all! In fact, you can actually use OS X for surfing or general use WHILE Windows is reinstalling. Pretty cool stuff.

most of the games were set on the max resolution supported by the screen, with little or no AA. FPS was playable, no serious lag was apparent. Well, ANY PC at this price will blow away this macbook in gaming. I don't know what else they can add to this macbook, maybe a 2xxgt card or i7/i5

im either going to get this exact macbook or a pc for the same price.

The pc will blow this out of the water on paper, and i could install osx on it, but i like these because there slim and clean. There just not seemingly that powerful. ;/

maybe ill wait for macworld and hope they release a new GPU in these.
