If you look at who has done it over the years, its the players who play at an intensity level higher than other players. Then Maria won the second set in a tie breaker, and after trading breaks early in the third Maria took her only opportunity, broke, and won. So if you think that is her being 'destroyed' then that's your ineptitude. :)
