No I'm not gay but I was fortunate enough to be raised in a place where I was surrounded by people from all different countries, cultures, and sexual orientations. If I was gay I certainly wouldn't be ashamed of it or have any problem admitting it. @scorpionpark7 yes however there's also a thing called harmony, harmony with nature that is and companionship is a necessity for humans. being "alone" is not necessarily an honorable thing. being a homosexual does not necessarily mean you're always f*cking either. Also studying a martial art doesn't give you a warrior mentality nor does it teach you history. a "warrior's mentality" is obtained only through actual live combat not training.

I do agree that the United states is a very spoiled country, but it has nothing to do with our recent acceptance of gay people. The very reason you grew to be the homophobe you are today is because of the Japanese adoption of western cultural standards. In traditional Japanese society male homosexuality was accepted as being normal. Among the ruling warrior class it was actually encouraged. Many of the greatest martial artists of Japanese history were known to have preferred young boys.
