That must have been some gig. All I can say to anyone who was there is - wow, you lucky, lucky people watching an all-time classic Poco line-up belting out all-time classic Poco songs. Ritchie, Timmy and espec.ially George looked and sounded great
Saw them at Woodstock last summer and they were fucking great! Long overdue to get in the RRHOF to say the least! One of the foundational country rock bands, incredible music makers!
and just imagine how good they would have sounded with more than just two pickup gigs the same week. saw poco 9current foursome) earlier this year and was left a bit dismayed. they need all the voices and players to really nail those old ones, which is why they stick more to mid-1970s material, i guess...nice guys though. they got a kick out of signing my vinyl copy of "good feelin..." i was only a year old when it came out...
In Richie's defense - looks like they are having trouble hearing - even Timothy. Watch at the end and Richie reaches out to George. It was probably hard for Richie to hear already and as George & Timothy are singing back-up, makes more sense for them to share a mic. Again, I think this was a monitoring problem rather than anyone fussing. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Great band - great guys making great music.
Yes, I saw his facial expression and smilling excitement when he waved George to sing with him. Nobody fussing. Just me, that I didn't take a real video camera to record.
Great stuff! LOVE POCO! Awesome to see all of these guys together again. Please do a nationwide tour and come on down to the Gulf Coast anywhere from New Orleans to Pensacola would be so fine.
Brang Tears of joy running down my face. May the Horse keep running. The one chance the Eagles had to have a reunion they screwed it up by treating Randy and Bernie like crap. They turned down their Mics. But the one guy their with Clss Timothy thanked Randy for all that came before. By what he showed here and then it tells you something about the Man. I love Randy Meisner and Tim Schmitt. But Poco is alot more classier than the Eagles ever will be. and when i say Eagles it means Henley,& Frey
got that right!...Tim is a class act and always has been...truthfully I don't how he puts up with those guys?...I will always understand why he made the move...I mean it's the Eagles....but I have this feeling (and it's a good feeling to know)that in his heart he is still and always will be with POCO...I just think he probably had more fun playing with them than dealing with Henley and Frey's ego's?...don't know Timmy personally but just my opinion....GB Timmy...sweet...sweet voice
Eagles...and you are so right on with your analysis...Henley and Frey are all about...duuh...Henley and Frey...and I love the Eagles (especially Joe and Don!)..saw them with Randy....he killed "take it to the limit".....I mean...killed it...:-)
There's one thing that this video proves: In addition to being a great entertainer, Timmy is a classy guy and a great friend! He makes sure that George is included, and that says it all. God bless Timmy B.!
just George putting his arms around everyone...I think Ritchie backed away so he goes to sing with Timmy...then he reaches over to drag Ritchie in to sing with all three of them on one mic...most ppl wouldn't notice or care...but when you're in a band these subtle things....mean something...and as much as I agree with you about the HOF...I don't know...they were always under the radar...musicians like me appreciate them...but if you ask anyone about POCO...really...you get a blank stare...
I will?!!!...I think it'll be a few years...if ever...let's face it...they never had a platinum album...my brother and sister don't know them (even though they would come in my room and say "who's that?"....)...tough to get in marisha....but maybe someday?
god...you gotta love timmy b...if you notice at the start of this song George is taking a seat ...but you see Tim picking him up...pointing..."get up here"...sing!..this is Timmy saying we are POCO and you are as big a part of POCO as anyone here..then through the rest of the song George is just so happy....Timmy is a great friend....
I think this was more important for POCO then it was for the rest of us...especially with George recovering from the Stroke...what a great...great band...
As a lifetime Poco fan, I'm going back to watch all of these Stagecoach beauties about once a week. And now it's bringing another tear of joy to my eye; watch George Grantham embrace both Tim and Richie during the last verse here. Listen to Rusty's too-powerful-for-words steel guitar, as all of his old bandmates light up the stage. 'New' drummer George Lawrence channels the 'old' George with stunning drumming. Poco alumni taking a bow at the end. Thank you folks for getting this on video!
well said...love the "MORE"...after this song...once again...as someone who has seen POCO 4 times...as recently as a month ago...well said...and glad George is doing well...
love the love for George too!!..saw them two weeks ago at Penn's Peak where you can actually talk to the band...asked about George and Rusty said he's doin good.....bought a shirt but they didn't have any XL's..they sent me one along with a personally signed "thank you" from Rusty and a "40 year" pic...which I have yet to take off the card...but I will...to play POCO...I play 3 Poco songs when I play out...Magnolia, Keep on Tryin, and Rose of Cimmeron...
nicely said...the embraces between George..Tim and Ritche...are what bands are all about...most times good ...sometimes fighting...but in the end it's all family...George was the only guy I ever heard sing higher then Timmy...and was just a good drummer and soldier...doing his job and singing like a mtfr...
Not a big fan of Ritchie in this vid...if you watch it closely it's Timmie that makes sure George is singing...then Ritchie is clearly upset when George shares the mic...then clearly POINTS for George to go sing with Timmy at 2:12?...otherwise agree with everything else in you post!
to timothy: i didn't think frey and henley would let you reunite with POCO. THANKS FOR THE THOUGHT. IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK. I ALWAYS SING "RESTRAIN". THANK YOU RUSTY AND PAUL...KEEP THE HORSE RUNNING!!!
This is beautiful. look at those trees in the background. this reminds me of the old days. this is history in the making.well-appreciated by all. thank you POCO for all the years, making good-feelin music. i will always have a place for each one of you in my heart...GOD BLESS YOU ALL BROTHERS.......this is the true " THE LAST ROUNDUP"...i'm honored. take care brother george...
The Beatles will never reunite and probably not what's left of The Springfield, but you captured something I thought I would never see: Richie, Timothy, Jimmy, Rusty, Paul and "Denver" George together again- Thanks.
Thank you so much for the Poco uploads. I've just wept as I've watched all of them. It's wonderful to see everyone together again. To hear George Grantham sing again is just heavenly - he sounds GREAT!! Oh my, and Timothy is just so amazing. <3 Dreams really do come true!
POCO!!!! That's the SH**!!! Okay, it's a tuff song to pull off live but they were so AWESOME!

I wouldn't think they would either. Definitely NOT the nicest guys in the world, and Henley's a prick.
For my money Bernie, Randy, and Glenn's vocals, if not personality were the Eagles. After "On the Border" they went downhill fast.
