Actually, there have been 3 RPG Makers to make it to the US for consoles, RPG Maker 3 5 and 6 were released as RPG Maker for PS1 and RPG Maker 2 and 3 for PS2.
@MegaShadowrunner I thought it was a good game. I disagree with some of the criticisms lobbied against it. It's not a perfect game, but I didn't understand the hate. I'll eventually do a review on it.
not directly related to this video, but I looked at the list of turn-based RPGs on the RPGF forums and I found the list utterly pathetic at only 16 titles. It did not even contain any of the 9 Dragon Quest/Warrior titles, SMT (about half the spinoffs like DDS, Persona, etc) not to mention if you should include all those eclectic strategy RPGs that are so turn-based they even have an indicator on the top right of the screen telling you what # turn it is.
@ManjixIchigo That's because the lists are works in progress. And why didn't you post on the forums with those games? The whole point of those posts is for others to help create the lists.
You should definitely do the video about the history of this series! It would be the first of it's kind as far as I'm aware and really interesting to me as I missed out on 95 back in the day.
Using RPG maker I discovered how much work it really takes to make a good RPG. And it takes about 900000 hours. Theres a lot of great RPGs on RPGmaker.net. The indie RPGs tend to have the best storylines.
I've played a few of the Super Famicom RPG Makers, was Super Dante the one where the airship worked in a mode7 and controller like the one in FF6(like, it gave you a full range of movement in the air, even though it actually didn't have any impact on the game at all)?
Also, my favorite funky Super Famicom cart is the one for SD Gundam G-NEXT, where it has an open slot on the top of it, like a game genie, so you can put a memory expansion bit or something on it.
@UtushoReiuji I'm unsure at the moment as I haven't figured out where the vehicles are yet. But looking at the booklet images I don't think it uses mode 7 for anything.
I checked real quick and it's the second game that uses mode 7 for it's flying scenes(the second one has the vehicles in the same menu where you can determine party character and your party's starting placement), but the mode 7 is closer to FF4 and 5 where they just tilt the screen a little bit to give you that disorienting "in the air" feeling but you're still locked onto the world map grid.
I first came into contact with the RPG maker series through RPG Maker 3 for the PS2. I never actually finished any making any game, but I still managed to do some pretty interesting things. I have to say though that I useally played with the sound off because the one track that played when you were editing the game would just get on my nerves.
I dont think its a big deal that it came with its box & booklet almost ever dang Japan game I goten has everthing even the ads and non them were costly like $10-20 so unless this game is really rare in Japan its not really shocking to me
What happened to the outfits the student sword gave you? I see now, You just wanted to wear a silly super hero outfit and your wizard outfit too. You don't care about the games themselves...
@fallingtogrey77 Also I'd love to do more costumes but the show isn't generating enough revenue for me to have a new costume for every episode. If that's something you'd like to see, then either donate costumes, money or share the videos with a wider audience on forums, Facebook groups, etc so the viewer traffic starts to pay for extra props.
Is there an english version?
