  • Why did Leonard Jackson stop playing Mr. Handford after one year?

  • I LOVE ALICE!!!!!!

  • If this episode is ever released on DVD, do you think they'll be able to include "Big Red Barn"? Or is there some kind of rights issue attached to it?

  • alice 7:19 7:30 7:40 7:43 7:50.

  • I really think that Mr. Handford look like Bill Cosby to me.

  • That's Leonard Jackson who is doing Mr. Handford. BTW, At that time, He was also doing Harry on Shining Time Station.

  • What was the snuffy girl name and I don't remember this man at all!

  • This girl Snuffy is named Alice, and this man is named Mr. Hooper (played by Leonard Jackson) who was the owner of Hooper's Store after David. Mr. Handford was the owner of Hooper's Store from 1989 to 1998. There were two people who played as Mr. Handford. Leonard Jackson (the one in this skit) was the first Mr. Handford. Then there was another man (played by David Smyrl) who played as the second Mr. Handford after Leonard Jackson left the show and stopped playing as Mr. Handford.

  • TVLuber- he WAS Harry on Shinning Time...

  • Who plays Alice?

  • Judy Sladky.

  • i wish there were really animals like that... fluffy and HUGE!

  • I felt sorry for Mr. Handford that he never got to take a nap with all the distractions from Alice and Barkley. Mr. Handford should've told Gina to watch them take their naps while she was working inside Hooper's Store, and at the same time, he should've told her to keep an eye on the pipe that broke. Then, while she was watching them, Mr. Handford should've gone home to take a nap with no noises. Plus, Mr. Handford can return back to work anytime, since he's the manager at Hooper's Store.

  • I have an upload request for you, could you please upload the end credits to this episode and put the title as "Sesame Street - End Credits (what ever year this episode is from, wiether it's from 1989 or 1990)".

  • I'll try and do that over the next few days with then PBS 1988 ID.

    Information

    Station: PBS

    Animation Name: Transparent Blue P-Heads

    Animation: Pacific Data Images

Year of Range: February 1988 to present

  • Calloway died 18 years ago, we're already past the date.

  • This episode is from either 1989 or 1990, which year is it.

  • is snuffy still on sesame street?

  • Yes.

  • BellyButton: Snuffy's rarely used anymore, sadly.

  • What episode number is this?

  • I'm not sure either, but I can tell the last digit in the episode number is a 5 or a 0 because I could see the end credits.

  • Hand foot!

  • she is still on Sesame Street.

  • Alice has always been one of my favorite characters, and Leonard Jackson has such a soothing voice. Thanks for sharing!

  • I remeber Barkly

  • I miss Gina

  • This Mr. Handford keeps reminding me of Harry Cupper from Shining Time Station.

  • Well, of course! Leonard Jackson played both roles. He also played Col. Ashby Wiggins in Square One TV's Mathnet case "The Case of the Mystery Weekend."

  • Leonard Jackson also played as a grocer on Sesame Street in a skit with Wanda The Word Fairy (this was probably before he played as Mr. Handford).

  • I thought it was him. I just wasn't sure.

  • I knew it was him, I didn't know it was before this though.

  • That'sbecause they were played by the same actor.

  • I know that.

  • do you have the closing credits for this episode and Gina saying Sesame street is a production of the CTW?

  • No I don't. Because I didn't have much tape left.

  • Sponsors: V, Y, 12

  • The woman in the Alice Snuffleupagus costume is famous for performing Snoopy in various costumed character appearance.

  • Yeah, like in "Jingle All the Way".
