Wow, I'm a very conservative person living in Califronia, used to live in Scotts Valley actually, but all of those people were idiots, they provided no reason for anything, and they sounded like nothing but a ton of immature 10 year olds who didn't even know this Country's current issues. Nobody's judging the town itself, as stated in the disclaimer at the beginning, though I'd imagine that, if it is home to a predominately upper and upper-middle class grouping, that these views reflect at least a sizable minority of the populace. I'm glad to hear that. When I went to SVMS (granted some time ago) that was certainly not the case. We did hold the record though both for most money spent on dare / anti drug education and the largest middle school drug / alcohol bust in the county. The second was broken quickly.

Wow, I'm a very conservative person living in Califronia, used to live in Scotts Valley actually, but all of those people were idiots, they provided no reason for anything, and they sounded like nothing but a ton of immature 10 year olds who didn't even know this Country's current issues. I highly doubt that kid did a lot of researching on political parties, he couldn't provide ONE good reason as to why he stood behind something.

Nobody's judging the town itself, as stated in the disclaimer at the beginning, though I'd imagine that, if it is home to a predominately upper and upper-middle class grouping, that these views reflect at least a sizable minority of the populace. People always vote lockstep with their economic interests, even if those interests entail destroying the lower and lower-middle classes and alienating and discriminating against one's fellow humans.

I would rather have people blindly following their parents than blindly following the opinions they're exposed to in school.
Plus, if you havn't been to the school, it's unaccredited and has only a 40% college acceptance/admissions rate. I'd acknowledge only a handful as being intellectually fit. Thank god I'm not going there.

Thank you for doing this. I went to middle school there and I think people always thought I was exaggerating. When Romeo + Juliet (the movie came out) one of the girls I hung out with had seen it twice. Someone asked her if it was good the second time and she said, yeah, but you already knew what was going to happen. So I said, but, you knew what was going to happen anway right? Because it's Romeo and Juliet. And everyone looked at me like I was the crazy one.

Sadly enough everyone hears about that. But no one hears about how the rest of the students launched multiple events making it clear that we would not allow these people to taint our reputation and we would do all we could to stop those responsible. I'm glad to hear that. When I went to SVMS (granted some time ago) that was certainly not the case. We did hold the record though both for most money spent on dare / anti drug education and the largest middle school drug / alcohol bust in the county. The second was broken quickly.

Sadly I'm from the area (went to a different high school) but they act like EVERY OTHER STUPID CLUELESS male from my high school... even today, 8 years after I was a freshman at my high school.
However, I do agree that this video is biased towards just one set of individuals.. and not everyone shares their opinion.

...Since I am from San Lorenzo Valley Hihg School, and I am obligated to hate Scotts Valley, I enjoyed this video to it's full extent and showed it to all my friends. And they call US hicks? Ha. I have no fricken idea how they managed to score higher on STAR testing.
But I do have friends in Scotts Valley who aren't liek this...of course, most of them are homeschooled.

You can't just take these kids opinion and then assume that Scotts Valley is like that. I mean, there are a variety of different kinds of kids at SV, just like other schools. And to be honest, SVHS is primarily Liberal, or Democrat, as is the City of Scotts Valley. So don't be so quick to assume that "this is what Scotts valley is like." I'm sure some other kids could go out with a video camera, and make another school look like a bunch of idiots... Just as easy.

I go to Scotts Valley high and I can assure you, we're all not like this. Me and my many in my grade (class of 2010) are opposed to the war and just Bush's policies in general. (one of my friends has a countdown clock of days left of bush) I have to comment on a few of the things that were said in this movie.
