There are also other sites that would allow for the safe storage for at least 100,000. By then human technology would allow for safe and cheap disposal of the material.
Between pebble bed reactors that cannot melt down, safe transportation of waste and safe storage of waste, it is by far the best solution.
France safely recycles its nuclear waste. The U.S. has had the technology to recycle about 90 to 95% of its nuclear waste since the 90's. Can you guess WHY we aren't??? You got it OIL OIL OIL OIL OIL. Nuclear power is about 10,000 times more renewable and sustainable than carbon-burning, but free fuel would mean the death of Capitolism as we know it.
If we have the means of getting around the fossil fuel problem then we'd be mad not to use it, unless it stops some fat cats from lining their pockets

Running vehicles on electricity doesn't save anything, it's just another gimmick. In fact, those electric and hybrid cars are much bigger pullution crimminals than ordinary cars.
