  • Back in the mid-70s, the Nebraska Cornhuskers mascot looked an awful lot like Donnie here. I figured it was him singing to me when I was a kid :)

  • is bad if im 13 and i want 2 dance to this?....

  • @smartcookie461 no, it's not a crime.

  • They're coming to take me away, haha. :D

  • lol

  • I named my blog Postcards from the Funny Farm, now I know where that came out of my childhood memories!!! Where's the straight jacket I love it.

  • Me too!!!

  • Well, that was surreal.

  • This is a classic!!!!

  • i remember playing my pretend guitar while watching this. memories!!!

  • LOL :D

  • this is when sesame street was good :)

  • I was hoping for Dr Demento XD

  • i thought this was supposed to be thier comming to take me away HAHA

  • I caught another one! ;-) That's called, surprisingly enough, "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa" by Napoleon XIV. Hope that helps!

  • thank you hahaha

  • lol me 2.

  • @mariku9 Dude me to, I thought "Their coming to take me away" was gonna play during clips of sesame street lmao.

  • And the entire tune beforehand sounds like it's set to Turkey in the Straw. It's amazing how Sesame Street was able to incorporate all these sorts of musical and cultural influences into very entertaining bits.

  • I love the musical bit from "Peer Gynt" played on the banjo at the end!

    Awesome

  • The looks that the last cow gets for daring to be different still makes me laugh!!!

  • wow...I haven't seen this in many years

  • Well what can I say......but 5 stars....or should I say 5 clouds.

  • did anyone else notice the melody from Grieg's 'Morning' at the end when the sun rose?

  • I noticed that it was familiar, but didn't know where it came from. Thank you!

  • Classic!! Especially the "crowing of the cows" at the end!

  • Lol I thought it was the other funny farm song, you know, " They're coming to take me away, haha, they're coming to take me away, hoho, hihi, haha, to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time" :)

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • ...to the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time.

And I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and

they're coming to TAKE ME AWAY,HA-HAAAAA!

  • o_o

  • anyone have count to 4 w same fiddler

  • Another of the series featuring Donny Budd (or is it Bud Luckey?). The last few seconds - where the sun turns into a '5' - is to the tune of Edvard Grieg's 'Morning.' Funny, yet good!

  • i seen it in hletter h)

i remember count to 4 also

  • thats a big 5

  • i was looking for dr.dementos funny farm...this aint it...

  • not the funny farm i was looking 4

  • wtf??

  • wtf?

  • what the hell?!

  • I think the fiddler name is Donny Bud

  • omg this bizare love ending musing and bong

  • BUUUUA HA HA HA HAAAA! That was cute

  • 1st time seeing THIS in some years...woah!

was it another Bud Luckey production? Sounds and looks like it.

  • You are correct-sir. Bud Luckey.

  • Thank you.

  • Now, what I *don't* know for sure is whether Joe Raposo sang the part of the farmer. Someone told me he did, and to me it does sound like him - but I just can't imagine that somehow! What do you think?

  • I'm assuming Bud Luckey did the vocals as well as the animation. Joe Raposo was heard on so many different songs that I'm still "finding" his voice after all these years, but I'm going with Bud for this one unless I hear otherwise.

  • yeah - remember this dude - wild stuff
