I imagined Ender as being shorter and not as tough-looking as he did in this movie. I also think the insides of buildings and their technology should look a little less futuristic. It's just a little too much like other animated sci-fi movies and it should be more unique.

If they made a movie, that ability would be lost, and I fear that the incredible book would be made a laughing stock.

Okay I read somewhere that Summit is going to be in charge of production for Ender's Game and it is set to release in 2013. That is according to IMDB, the 2013 part. I just hope they stick to the book, the last few "books" that were turned into films other than Harry Potter, were done horribly. Books like the Twilight series. I had such high expectations, and the first one literally puts me to sleep at night. Just saying. Story is still good but yea. I just pray they don't screw up Ender's Game.

What about Ender's thoughts? It would not bring Card to his true glory if it was just a fast paced action movie, without Ender's thoughts. Card's idea of combining Ender's Shadow and Ender's game is sounding better every second.
To cast the actors, look upr Dillon Stevens. He is perfect to play Ender. He can act and dance, which would be a handy skill for the Zero Gravity Battle School scenes.

Just last month issue 1 of the comic adaptation of Speaker for the Dead came out and this month the first 2 parts of The Formic Wars: Burning Earth is scheduled to be out with possible future adaptations of the rest of the books as well.
It has to be real life if it's a movie! I will be so devastated if anyone ever decides to make it into a movie and does it animated. I don't care if they want to show the growth of the kids. I want real life.
My favorite part of Ender's game is still when Ender breaks that kids arm on the shuttle. If there is a movie I really hope they play with the idea of a zero G environment.

Seriously I refused to put the book down XD! I finished it all in one day it was amazing. I found the storylines of Peter and Valentine extremely interesting and I also really liked the way OSC referred to the parents as Mother and Father. Very clever. I was as confused as Ender, mind games during the whole book almost. I really enjoyed it, going on my Fav Books list :)

Ender is a person in all of us, all of us could not live with pressure on us! there are level's of human endurance. Level 1: Janitor's and secretary's who feel that too many people rely on them. Lvl 2: Common people, working a normal job, but can't stand their hours. Lvl 3: Manager's and company owners, but they can't control their company. Lvl 4: Presidents who break under too many people depending on them. And Lvl 5: Ender. We ALL will feel like the world is crashing down on us at some point.
Truly, I think that if they made this like a comic, or movie, it would destroy the story completely! If Orsan made it a book, it was for us to be human! Truly I think without Imagination and future outcome predictions, the ability to THINK, then we wouldn't be human! I just think that people need to grow up, movie's are too over rated! I hate this. Didn't anyone else read Ender's game as more of a subtle and insular story? It had nothing to do with details of the world around him, the action wasn't all biff bam kapow like a comic. It was in his head, it was his internal torment and his moral issues that drove him.
They should do it in 3D and give it the AVATAR treatment with photorealistic child characters. I cant imagine finding enough talented child actors to do the movie justice.

It doesn't look bad at all! I think the illustrations actually give me a better sense of some of the book's little details- like what "marching around the desk" means. Don't get me wrong, imagination is wonderful. But I'm relieved that the pictures add to my enjoyment of the world (or should I say universe?) of Ender's Game.

I think a cartoon really IS the way to go even though Live actors could make and amazing show it has a tendency to ruin the film because the people are not what you imagined them looking like reading the book. Just finished rereading this book a couple of days ago. The images I just saw look so amazing and visually stimulating. I'm really impressed by their power. I want to see these comics.
I loved the book when I read it years ago, but I don't think I'm gonna like this Marvel stuff. Kinda ruins the atmosphere i.m.o. I had a totally different picture of the characters than this flashy new kiddy Marvel cartoon stuff shows. It should have just stayed a book. Comics and movies always ruin everything.

They still mucked up Prince Caspian by adding the romance between Susan and Caspian... which was bullshit and not in the book. If they create some female character to seduce Ender, I'll be very upset.
yes...there is a slight romance between susan and caspain...it is not prevalent, but is still a relevant theme according to c.s. lewis.......and yes...enders game will be great!
Actually it's not a relevant theme at all according to CS Lewis. The only romance he intended was Caspian's marriage (far after Susan left); neither Susan/Caspian romance nor the flirty kid before/after Narnia are in the book. Also, the age difference in the book would make this weird, too... altering so many things just to please a few narrow people who need romance in their movies? Puh. Copout.
I'd much rather read the comic than see the movie. I'm actually disappointed there's going to be one, but it's to be expected. The cast is so crucial to its success; stars could ruin everything.
I'm sorry but I am quite disappointed. This book (the follow-ups and especially the shadow series) have been nothing shy of amazing. However, the comics, with all the visuals, do not show anything even close to what ones imagination is lead to in the books.

I think the comic is a test balloon to see how many people buy it, this is a sales and marketing ploy to gauge how much intrest there would be in more projects along this line.

No movie yet. He's tried several times to get a movie made but was unsucessful. So much of the book is what Ender's feels and thinks. With the book Shadow of the Hegemon (I strongly recommend it), we see Ender through the eye's of Bean. Scott believes he will now be able to create a good movie script using interactions between them to get the emotional points out. Doing the comic gives Scott a good vision of what he movie will eventually look like as well. And Marvel knows how to make movi
i read Enders game as an 8th grade assignment a long time ago. and i've only found out this year that its somewhat of a series and im a HUGE fan. hella excited to see this whether its on film or in a comic. i jus wanna see visuals man.

When i read Enders game it was astonishing how interesting a book about a child leading an invasion on the enemy of earth.
Another book guys and girls should read is World War Z, its about a infection starting from a small, un-noticable village turning into a world wide pandemic. After reading a few chapters of it, it...its just to hard to explain how ridiculously awesome World war Z is going to turn out.

I hate this. Didn't anyone else read Ender's game as more of a subtle and insular story? It had nothing to do with details of the world around him, the action wasn't all biff bam kapow like a comic. It was in his head, it was his internal torment and his moral issues that drove him.

ya know, i relize that in Ender's game Peters a douch, but did they have to go and make him look like a complete moron? he has that gay hair cut and what not, I mean, hes supposed to be handsom or something, at least it says that somewhere in the shadow series, but i did like the picture of Andrew (excuse me, Ender) it looked like I pictured him, only i didn't think he would look so grown up as a, what was he 6, year old, I though he would look more innocent.

It doesn't look bad at all! I think the illustrations actually give me a better sense of some of the book's little details- like what "marching around the desk" means. Don't get me wrong, imagination is wonderful. But I'm relieved that the pictures add to my enjoyment of the world (or should I say universe?) of Ender's Game.

I LOVED the book, I just hope the movie doesn't ruin it like every other book to move screen write has. I think a cartoon really IS the way to go even though Live actors could make and amazing show it has a tendency to ruin the film because the people are not what you imagined them looking like reading the book. I guess we'll see then.

Just finished rereading this book a couple of days ago. The images I just saw look so amazing and visually stimulating. I'm really impressed by their power. I want to see these comics.

I loved the book when I read it years ago, but I don't think I'm gonna like this Marvel stuff. Kinda ruins the atmosphere i.m.o. I had a totally different picture of the characters than this flashy new kiddy Marvel cartoon stuff shows. It should have just stayed a book. Comics and movies always ruin everything.

I would LOVE an Ender's Game movie, but I think for it to appeal to those who DIDN'T read the book, they'd use teens instead of children. And this would exclude the book fans.

that would sooooo suuckkk. i love disney but they make their movies too kid friendly. prince caspian was a step in the right direction when they showed the guys head cut off but it's still not the right kind of film for marvel movies. e.g. can be made kid frienldy due to the lack of hardcore violence but they sure as hell couldnt make speaker for the dead. im disapointed about disney buying out marvel

yes...there is a slight romance between susan and caspain...it is not prevalent, but is still a relevant theme according to c.s. lewis.......and yes...enders game will be great!

Actually it's not a relevant theme at all according to CS Lewis. The only romance he intended was Caspian's marriage (far after Susan left); neither Susan/Caspian romance nor the flirty kid before/after Narnia are in the book. Also, the age difference in the book would make this weird, too... altering so many things just to please a few narrow people who need romance in their movies? Puh. Copout.

I'm sorry but I am quite disappointed. This book (the follow-ups and especially the shadow series) have been nothing shy of amazing. However, the comics, with all the visuals, do not show anything even close to what ones imagination is lead to in the books.

I think the comic is a test balloon to see how many people buy it, this is a sales and marketing ploy to gauge how much intrest there would be in more projects along this line.

No movie yet. He's tried several times to get a movie made but was unsucessful. So much of the book is what Ender's feels and thinks. With the book Shadow of the Hegemon (I strongly recommend it), we see Ender through the eye's of Bean. Scott believes he will now be able to create a good movie script using interactions between them to get the emotional points out. Doing the comic gives Scott a good vision of what he movie will eventually look like as well. And Marvel knows how to make movi

When i read Enders game it was astonishing how interesting a book about a child leading an invasion on the enemy of earth.
Another book guys and girls should read is World War Z, its about a infection starting from a small, un-noticable village turning into a world wide pandemic. After reading a few chapters of it, it...its just to hard to explain how ridiculously awesome World war Z is going to turn out.
