On Spaying: Not everyone wants to adopt dogs. To some, it's either buying a purebred or not owning a dog. Also some shelter dogs come from environments which lead them to behaviors that some people just can't deal with. I adopted a dog a long time ago from the shelter who's former owner forced her to eat her own feces. While that is disgusting but minor problem, parents might not want that type of behavior around their children.

To be honest I agree with the comments of people saying animals should be spayed. Yes they should be. It makes sense, why breed more dogs when there are plenty in shelters who need homes, and are at the risk of being put to sleep. It's sad. Go to a shelter and get your animals.

I agree with you, but as well I have to say those animals that are in the shelter are because of in-sensitive human beings that think animals are toys you throw out when you get bored.. lots of people get animals too see how cute they are and never teach them right and wrong and rather throw them out. If we spayed animals all the time  they will be extinct. We should educate people about it and not take a easy way out. I've had a dog for 13yrs, we taught her rules and she obeys them.

As cute as they are, the mother should have been spayed (as should all dogs). For every dog people are "breeding," there are hundreds being killed in shelters because no one will adopt them. There should be a moratorium on ALL breeding until the unwanted/stray/abandoned animal problem is under control.
