  • Part 4: S. Kinzer tells Bacevich that US military intervention made us rich but it is an "Al Capone strategy"; i.e., Capone stole from everyone around him. Bacevich: some mafia figures "didn't know when to quit"; other mafia took ill-gotten gains and went "legal" in Las Vegas NV. Bacevich says current US military strategy is a losing game; econ prof B. Anderson says military intervention has actually made us "poor." [Early USA got rich through war and genocide--and we are culturally poor.]

  • Our Military has had stranglehold on our economy. It is destroying or economy and this is contrary to national security. A few people do benefit from this mostly congressmen and retired military brass. We need to cut off the blank check. Defending Georgia and the Ukraine is not in the security interests of the United States. Pull all our troops out of Europe and then see if NATO wants to admit them. Face it it is the United States they expect to defend them. Let them spend their money on an Army
