First of all, if they WERE real, chulhu would win. Just looking at him is said to make you die of insanity. The rest would just be killed by his "Chulhuites (at the mountains of madness)". CHULHU IS NOT an elder god, the elder gods were killed by the shoggoths. This is why if chulhu was real there is no one to stop him, as the original things that stopped him are DEAD.

But chulhu is a fictional character in lovecraft books, so there is no worry about the dragons and cthulhu fighting.

Actually fire is a stereotypical element associated with dragons. It doesn't have to be fire; it can be acid, electricity, poisonous smog, water, etc. And Cthulhu must have some kind of weakness, nothing is perfect.

you know, for some reason, i doubt that. There are several reasons, the first and foremost being the fact that Lovecraft died years before the first atomic bomb. Nothing by Derleth counts, because he understood the concept of the mythos less than most flies. Seriously, he tried to put in good and evil, so anything he wrote about atomic bombs is about as canonical as a fanfic.

Trail of Cthulhu was...enjoyable. I'm not going to deny. I forced myself to ignore the good vs evil/elemental shit Derleth threw in, but his contributions WERE massive. You can't deny the Cthulhu Mythos wouldn't be what it is without him.

Dragons are the sons and daughters of fire and air. They may have immunitys to certain substances, or other 'mutations' due to dragons living in that area for one year (evolution) but they wont breathe acid or smog or water or electricity etc.
