  • she one of the beautiful singers and fabulos voice too

  • O N J- is an example of real raw talent. She is not part of the Cookie-cutter, Disney factory that seems to be pushing out some of today's "Stars". She, does not rely on Auto-tune, or any Digital enhancements for her singing, unlike today's stars. It is so sad to listen to music and be annoyed by the irritating din of a singer (I say loosely) using auto-tune to cover the fact they are tone deaf. Its all about Image, sex and who has more bling.

  • yummy

  • damn...never seen anybody do the Texas two-step backwards, at double speed, in heels before!!!

  • One of the great Australian talents of our time!

  • Olivia is awesome; Lovely voice and personality. Merry Christmas You Tube Fans.

  • I agree w/ you Jaylee

  • STRAWBERRYSEASON Thank you. :-)

  • Amen to that, Jaylee169!

  • if you love me let me know if you dont let me go and give me job.

  • what? i didnt even knoe you wer british,my love! no one told me that!

  • Olivia sing it so well...she is a great singer. But Elvis Presley, and this is why he is the king, like he did with many other songs, tootk this one and made it its own.

  • and is the same age as Gaga. Here's to hoping that someway, Chloe's talent makes it into the light for the world to enjoy as well.

  • I watched this HBO concert special as many times as I could in a day when recording on the the VHS was the only thing possible. Olivia was my favorite forever, starting when I was 12! She's always been a gracious soul and adding that to her beauty and talent made her and makes her a rare human being. She's still amazing.

As for some of the people saying Gaga has no talent or voice, I completely DISAGREE! Gaga has the best voice & vision today. Olivia's daughter is also very unique and talented

  • @2dogs2manycats I agree with you. Gaga is phenomonally talented, as a music composer, lyric writer and performer.

  • Ah yes, the olden days when pop singers could sing.

  • One of the rare talents that sound just as good live!

  • Olivia was best when doing Country.

  • to lend a prayer, or in prayer, how precious see, what I see is different then what will be perceived of others. May God Bless and be with you always, and praise God always all the time. He is the blessed hope and truth. May God Bless and guide in his holy mercy love and rightousness.

  • @Jaylee169/EgarLivesToTroll/SpamMonitor/100kLemmy/Jackslic100/JAYLEEi69/MrJAYLEE169 (or whichever of your myriad socks you’re using today)

As you have often admitted, you were sexually abused by your father when you were a child. Yes, that sucks and yes, that must have been hard for you (pardon the puns) but this should NOT be used as an excuse to harass and insult people. It is not our fault that you became such a bitter and twisted individual. Your father was the paedophile, not us.

  • @Jaylee169/EgarLivesToTroll/SpamMonitor/100kLemmy/Jackslic100 (or whichever of your myriad socks you’re using today)

I repeat: I've answered all your persistent questions in detail on my channel comments and the following two videos: 'Arrests At Caldwell Park' and 'Jaylee's Hilarious Fail'. You know the addresses of my channel and both of those videos, so please feel free to post a response on any of them and to answer my own questions on there too. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.

  • "i am still waiting to hear from Sanfoo21”

^ And yet again, I ask you...who the fuck is ‘Sanfoo’? Snafoo I know but you keep referring to someone called ‘Sanfoo’ and sorry, I have no idea who that is.

  • @Jaylee169/EgarLivesToTroll/SpamMonitor/100kLemmy/Jackslic100 (or whichever of your myriad socks you’re using today)

Yes, I've answered all your questions in detail on my channel comments and the following two videos: 'Arrests At Caldwell Park' and 'Jaylee's Hilarious Fail'. You know the addresses of my channel and both of those videos, so please feel free to post a response on any of them (rather than clog this video up). I look forward to hearing from you.

  • @MsTeenBirmingham ""who the fuck is snafoo?"" LMAO did you get caught in another lie?? why yes you did you naughty little sicko. would you like the url number to the video you created of the fake Snafoo21 home page YOU created?? you exposed yourself again. seek help, SOON...

  • ...By accusing me of being MrJAYLEE169 (even though I’ve frequently posted comments at precisely the same time as him and have reported him), Jaylee is clearly, categorically an unambiguously accusing me of racism and I look forward to his proof to back that up.

  • “you are correct sir. the MrJaylee169 account is a cum bucket. but that's not ME. i believe you will find that one of your trolling pals created that name.”

^ As Jaylee is such a fan of demanding proof of accusations, I’ll look forward to his proof of that one, especially as I’m half-black openly opposed to racism (as stated clearly on my channel), MrJAYLEE169 has repeatedly called people “nigger” and Jaylee has repeatedly denied calling me a racist (which he has in fact done frequently)....

  • that haircut - looks like hilary clinton:)

  • Playing this one on the iPhone at ridiculously high volume... Good country music from Down Under WAY before Urban was a twinkle in his daddy's eye. (OK, he was 6, going on 7, when this one came out. That was a mild exaggeration.)

  • i love dis song !

  • I enjoy Elvis' version more, her voice is too, in lack of better words, sharp for this song.

  • Love her and I got this concert on tape and I love it.

  • the most beautiful woman on the planet ,,for every reason...

  • so beautiful today yesterday and tomarrow!

  • Memories. I remember as a kid running into the house everytime this concert aired on HBO

  • This was one of the first songs I learned to sing of by heart. Nice tune performed professionally.

  • Sexy

  • Someone help poor Olivia. She's been attacked by an evil mullet! ; )

  • would someone please send vids likew this one to Lady Gaga and Britney.... let them see true talent and beauty performing live and fully clothed.

  • @JAYLEE169

If either Gaga and Britney had to get by singing fully-clothed with un-enhanced voices they'd frickin' starve. You've seen that early Stefanie Germanotta vid, she sounds like puke.

  • @pinz2022 you are correct my friend. excellent comment. thank you...have a good one

  • @JAYLEE169 I'm with you on this! This is a lady with actual talent!

  • @MTLNCK52 well put. thanks for your reply. have a nice day..

  • @JAYLEE169 : agree 100%...!!!!

  • @takdirikhlas thank you. you have impeccable taste. have a good one...

  • @SpamMonitor169 Thanks for sharing such personal information with us. I’m really sorry to hear you were sexually abused as a child. That really sucks and it must have been hard or you (no puns intended). How on Earth did you get over it and become the sane, level-headed, not-at-all-bitter-and-twisted, intelligent person you are today?

  • @MsTeenBirmingham show where i said this. prove yourself for once LIAR LMAO...

    MsTeenBirmingham

Reply to your comment on: Arrests at Caldwell Park, Redding CA

  • @MsStraponlover i am still waiting to hear from Sanfoo21. any word yet?? LMAO hsi account is STILL terminated. try to understand. take your medication and seek help.

  • @JAYLEE169 "LMAO hsi account is STILL terminated"

^ Pardon my ignorance but what is an 'hsi account'???

  • @MsTeenBirmingham pardon my typo, but there is no excuse for your ignorance. sorry sicko. HEY SNAFOO21,,where are you?? oh thats right. you were terminated and you live in the delusional mind of MTB. i understand. LMAO FOOL..

  • @MsTeenBirmingham 2 months away. big brother must have been watching. and here you are AGAIN for the 4th night in a row harassing. LMAO. you are a loser. get used to it.

  • @JAYLEE169 Indeed!! And what;s more this is a particularly spectecular dress and ensemble on her. As ever she "pulls it off" perfectly.

  • @68Jaguar420G well put. i agree 100%. thanks for your reply.

  • @JAYLEE169 This is so true. Pure talent made her great.

  • @lilac7129 thank you for your reply. i know there is talent out there today, but its seems so hard to find with all of the garbage being shoved down our throats. have nice day.

  • Damn, she was hot.

  • Fantastic song, sexy dress, sexy bod but DREADFUL hair. What was she thinking?

  • this song never gets old. Go olivia:)

  • This concert was on HBO back in the early 80's and I

was glued in my seat and enjoyed every moment!

  • I can never not sing this song. I always get caught up in it, especially when she changes octaves. Best song!

  • I saw her sing this at 1974 Senior Night at Disneyland. At one point she turned to her back up singer and said, "nice one" as he hit a very low note.... Only ten feet from the stage.... was a great concert...

  • I love this song and other song I like to If you love me let me know ! that a great song too .

  • The very unfortunate 80's hair do aside, that is one classy lovely lady. The Sandra Bullock (or Goldie Hawn?) of pop music.

  • Nice Air-Guitar at 2:17, too, eh? Ha! Ha!

  • i need to wait for 1;06 to listen this song why they don't skip it??

  • My favourite song - until today - with this song I started "recording" myself -

    Olivia is wonderful !

  • 20, 25...

I always Mondegreen!: "Let me be there in the morning, let me be there in your night."

    Who says I don't like Freud?? ;-D

  • The girl has it! Olivia looks fantastic now, but good to see her singing this song. Hard to keep listening to the song when my eyes are on the screen!

  • only livvy can work that mullet!! She was rockin it! Keith Urban better show her props...she took the heat so he can sing country. Love ya livvy!

  • Have been totally in love with her since the '70s .. why not ? Ageless, Sweet, Drop-dead Beautiful and the voice of an angel. What the hell else could you want....

  • "Oblivian Neutron Bomb!" Love 'er!

  • nice video and good song

  • That's practically a Duran Duran mullet she's sportin' there !

  • @eartant

Almost. Duran Duran didnt look as good as she did with a mullet.

  • I forgot to post my youtube site- type in- sheree I have a dream.

  • Hi, My name is Sheree Ross and I have posted a vid of myself singing this great song. It is the last of 3 songs I am singing, the other 2 being I Have a Dream by Abba and Top of the World by the Carpenters.

I would love if some of you would post a comment on my performance, sort of like Australia's got Talent Online- you can be the judges.

    Cheers

    Sheree.

  • She's so cool, luv it!!!!

  • The first of the popcorn singers - cute as a button but no voice and not a stitch of talent.

  • @HickysBoy

And she can't dance but I would pay money to watch her buying groceries.

  • @HickysBoy

and what color is the crack you have been smoking in your misguided, uninformed and wikipediaed universe? I know that there is so little of it nowadays but this is what TALENT looks and sounds like. Good! put the pipe down and come back to planet Earth. Thanks

  • @HickysBoy

What is your definition of talent?

  • kinda looks like Elezabeth Montgomery

  • Oh I just love her!!

  • Leave it to Elvis darlin

  • ha ha, all the people in Austin wanted to fuck her asshole, that's why they went to the show...oh, maybe thats just me.

  • My fave song I was 10 when it was released Ya gotta love Karaoke lol xoxo

  • My fave karaoke song.. ..

  • My fave karaoke song....

  • Hottest Aussie lady! And she still is even today.

  • You are timeless,I remember when you came out with this song

  • The lead guitarists looks an awful lot like Kenny Vaughan.

  • Very talented & looks hot. Still does.

  • very nice so cute and fun

  • A David Bowie haircut.

  • Love Olivia, she always had this angelic quality, both of voice and of face. This is something you just don't find in today's female singers, no matter how young, but maybe I am biased as a child of the 70's. Anyway, I still lean towards that time frame where music goes, there was just something magical about that era

  • @HulaKatz 100% right!!

  • Finally, she arrived in CHILE her concert on November 15th, Thanks God We´re so happy.

    Love you Olivia for ever.

  • I totally agree Olivia is stil HOTT!!!!

  • I was grounded when this concert was broadcast on HBO and I BEGGED my mom to let me off so I could watch it - I had such a huge crush on her

  • she is hot and sexy

  • beautiful.

  • my fav's song !! thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • Where was this concert?

  • I went to see her in concert at the USC Field House in 1979. She put on the best show ever. Glad I had the chance to see her.

  • What year is this? Looks kinda like the 80's

She sounds good live. She always had such a great voice.

  • Great post. Thanks for sharing.

  • I had forgotten about Olivia...she's another great!! Thanks for posting!!

  • Well I agree, she does have a great voice and she is so Pretty and slim.

  • My favourite Australian!

  • I used to sing this on stage. Fun song!

  • This was in Moncton NB ...wow 1hour away from home! Can somebody tell me what date and year was this?

  • hon är så jävla vacker!! <3<3

  • beautiful memories..........

  • Classic ~

  • ice cream

  • My music teacher introduced this song to me back in 2003 when I was 10 and I liked it so much, but I was too young back then to find out more about this song, but now I found it! :) :) :)

  • I remember this song when it was in the top 10 1973. I was nine years old. I love Olivia Newton John, She's one of my favorites from the 70's

  • Remind me when I was just a kiddo bough my 1st album.

  • looks like she would have been good fun after a few brews.

  • NOW I know where lady DI got her hairstyles from! Am i o9ne of those rare yanks that heard of Ms john BEFORE grease? it was because of this song. I think I always liked her because she always seemed so real.

  • MULLETS 4 EVER !!!

  • Wonderful song, beautiful singer.........and sweet, sweet memories. Thanks a million for sharing.

  • Some1 gave me a tape of this concert years ago. The early vhs tape just sort of faded away and she looked ghostly as time past. Thanks for posting...

  • Like good wine .... gets better with Time.

  • she still rocks my world!!!!

  • What fun! I had forgotten how strikingly beautiful she was back then. I'm sure she still is, but back then....! Any chance of finding that whole concert somewhere? Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks for posting.

  • i hate mullets but love grease

  • simply the best

  • Watching Olivia and Shania live, it seems like Shania was influenced by Olivia.

  • @mrbobevans I have always felt that!!!! - I believe Shania's first album was called Come ON Over- Olivia either had an album called that or a song called that, back around her country days. I always felt like Shania was paying respect to Olivia's sucess as being one of the first outsiders who broke into country music. She really did pave the way for all the Shanias, Keith Urbans and so forth.

  • My god she use to drive me into seizures when I was 13 she was so freakin` hot. I can`t believe she "ducked" her face meaning plastic surgery. She looks like a duck now. Chicks just don`t get it; When your hot looking at 20 your just as hot looking at 60, the wrinkles don`t mean shit. Yes they mean something to a guy who is 20 or 30 but to a guy who is older they don`t mean shit.

  • Olivia and Shania rock. And they are not half bad looking either.

  • I love the mullet!

  • Love this

  • Mighty Fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love Olivia. a little dorky, fun-loving and cute as hell. this song puts me in a good mood too.

  • @jamba461 Somewhere along the line, the world decided that music that puts you in a good mood was considered a horrible thing. We are all lesser for that. Olivia, despite all her personal trials, has always wanted to leave listeners entertained and in a good mood. She is a treasure.

  • i watched this concert live, i even recorded it on cassette tape, the recorder was next to the tv. I think i still have it somewhere in the closet.. lol She's always been my number one female artist and the love of my life, too bad she doesnt know me.

  • This song was also sang by Elvis

  • @Andrewshadowy

It came out in 1973 so Elvis could have covered it. I still can't believe Olivia Newton-John started out as a country singer.

  • She still rocks!!!!!

  • Olivia for ever the best. I love Olivia

  • So pretty and s freakin nerdy! LOL, she's lovely in her own unco way.

  • Gee youtube...why don't we get faster streaming...computer amateurs, good grief!!

  • Because we're real people !?:)

  • just as awesome as the old days!she looks great then!

lovely thanks to Luckyjopot for sharing this great video!

    cheers!

    Dr.Chef :-D

  • By far the hottest thing I've ever seen wearing a mullet.

  • Love that great lady !!!! Always had ! Rene.

  • Man, that's beautiful!!!!

  • i love da lyrics to this song, xD

  • this iz the best song ever!!!! you rock olivia

newton john you are so awesome this is

the fifth one i like of country you got great

hair style too wel bye i will write back again sometime this week see YA!!!!!!!!!!

  • ONJ is just AUWSOME one in a million just listen to that voice!!!!!!!

  • She has to be one of the most endearing performers on the planet. When she performed in my region (same tour: the 'Physical Tour", in 1982), she had an instant rapport with the audience. She came across as a likeable, pleasant individual.

The entire show was pleasant. I was also happy they didn't turn the volume on too loud, you didn't have ears buzzing after the show. ; )

You would leave there with a good feeling.

Throughout all her career it's been like that. She's one of a kind. She's GOOD

  • Whoa! Take a step back, upgrade that word "good". She's perfect! Although there's a saying that no one's perfect, she's one exception.

  • she is beautiful, isn't she?

  • wow - lots of fun, good vocal, and she is ooo so pretty!!

  • @69swimmer69

    Sure she is.

  • i love olivia Newton John

she is half Australian half british and a little bit german her father is nobel prize winner Max Born

  • Elvis Presley recorded this song before Olivia.

  • Incorrect! Elvis´ great version came out in "77 on his last album "Moody Blue" and his version was a live version, and he actually gives credit on stage to Olivia Newton John before singing the song. So there you go...

  • Yep, this is Olivia's song, but Elvis sang it too. Probably the most noted Elvis cover was recorded on March 20, 1974 live at a concert in Memphis. So Elvis sang this awesome song in his concerts 74-77. Both singers are awesome! E

  • Who wrote it?

  • It was written by John Rostill the third bassist of The Shadows

  • Olivia Newton John have a amazing voice. I like this song a lot , when I was a little girl.

  • The guy who wrote this and Let me Be There is John Rostill. Great bass player who died on stage on my 16th birthday, 11/26/73. He wrote 2 greast for ONJ.

  • I want to know a lot of people that talk english !!!!!!!!! my msn is

    dj_romantic_peru@hotm...

    ATTE: DJ YORK

  • I Love This Song<3

    (:

  • Olivia performed at Gay Pride in LA. She has so much class and did not give a shit what the wacko Evangelists would say. I am not gay, but my brother is. I could care less if gays and lesbians choose to marry. Actually, it should be encouraged as it promotes commitment.

  • Actually, only six months after Massachusetts allowed gay marriages to be held, they were already filing for divorce. That doesn't sound like commitment to me?

  • I tell you my friend, you are just as biased as the evangelists whom you called wackos. I honour anyone who is pure at heart, persons in whom there is no deceit, be (s)he gay or straight. For it is only in that state that (s)he could see God and begin to understand His righteousness.

  • Your comment makes absolutely no sense. You either believe gay marriage should be allowed or not allowed. As a married heterosexual, gays and lesbians should be allowed to marry since it promotes commitment. It also does not interfere with others' lives. Olivia agrees with me as she has always supported gay rights.
