I never had an Alienware... but before I bought this one, I thought that DELL had the best priceVSperformance deal. I have to say that Alienware have nice gaming computers and I did look at them.But it's just that on spring2008, for my needs and my budget, Dell was the best affordable machine.

I run every game on the highest specs with very satisfying results. I never had any problems with Assassin's creed and the Crysis demo. I experienced some lag with Mass Effect but it was barely noticeable.

Since I posted that I have now decided Im just building my own computer, the computer I am building is vastly superior to the dell and is cheaper, it has a GTX 295, the best card on the market, an Intel Core I7 and 6 gb of ddr3 ram and its only 2200 dollars. Build your own, you save like 800 dollars.

Yeah, I've been looking at this beast... I think it's the nicest looking gaming computer dell makes. I don't personally like the looks of the 730. This computer also comes in a beautiful red. I'm thinking of buying this with a few minor upgrades and modifying it later.

Good choice with the ram. Nvidia bought out Ageia and will have physics processing standard on the next generation of their GPUs (280, 260). And with a new driver, it may be possible that the high end 8 and 9 series cards could support PhysX.

If you are refering to Flight Simulator X, I don't have it but Crysis runs like a charm and I think it's one of the most demanding game for a video card.
