Kashmir is really a tough song to mix because the song doesnt follow the 8 bar change so it doesnt sync well with anything other than just a hiphop beat and nothing else playing. I've tried messin with kashmir a lot, so far it sounds good over the looped into of Super fly by rick ross
help ive got those cdjs you have there, can you tell me how to set the scratch mode back to factory settings, played vabout with it when i first got them, and ive never put them right please help or vthey go up for sale
I agree with your statement about how Hip-Hop is about how something is packaged.I always knew there was some break-out funk in those old classic tunes liked what you used here.Very innovative how all of this is done.5 stars and added to my favorites.
At that time I was using some ordinary Technics slipmats with wax paper underneath. Now I have a 1210 and a Butter Rug though. Butter Rug would probably be fine with the T60.
Take the sheet of wax paper you are using and crumble it into a ball; uncrumble it and then put it back on. I know it sounds crazy but it will give you like 25-50% less friction. I've done this since I was like 12 . . .
Man that is hella sick, I sat here for all 9 minutes of it and was digging it the whole time. Come and check out my song "Clear As Day Zero" and tell me what you think of it
I so appreciate real scratching!! not many djs can do this. I know, I used to use a 1800 turntable and a biamp mixer to do this. Great job with the hendrix and zeplin!!!
Proper PHAT!!!! Nice to hear some cross genre mashup/mixing and wicked scratching Its where the all the clever people are at! Hats off for this man. loved it.
I just bought it to get started since it was so cheap. I ended up getting rid of it in exchange for some used vinyl. I have a Vestax PMC-05 Pro III now.
Well done Dj. You have a great unique quality to your style. I am a new fan for sure. Good luck in the comp. Check mine if ya get a chance. Different style, but that's what makes this competition so great, FLAVOUR from all around the world! -DjSaintJoseph
it don't matter what kind of equip. you use or the torque. if you have talent and know what your doing it will sound good. you cud spend 10k on equipment and if you sound like shit....you just sound like shit. get your skills up, then get "good" equipment
What slip mats are you using to counter act the torque problems with the t.60? I'm thinking about getting one but the main thing that I hear is wrong with it is the insufficient torque... What's your opinion on this subject?
I think the people who complain about its torque are heavy handed. Throw some wax paper under the included slipmats or any others and they'll be fine.
Thanks for the suggestion. The only reason why I ask is because I recently lost my father and he left his records to me, This looks like something I would enjoy doing on my nights off. Maybe you could tell me one other thing though. I've been looking at the t.90 and I like the fact that it has the usb connectivity as well as the ability to play in reverse. I'm not sure what the difference between having a s shaped tone arm over a straight one like on the t.60, which would you choose?
im the 100 likes :) and i did just came over you channel man great work do you have any beats i can download and just do some freestyles on :)) ?

thine beat was too repetitive, my friend, you should maybe sample some jazz drums, make another beat to change out with what you've got

If you're going to scratch go with a straight tonearm; if not, get the s-shaped arm.

Richard Pryor "Insane"
Fab Five Freddy "Change the Beat" (Female Version)
Jimi Hendrix "Foxey Lady"
Led Zeppelin "Kashmir"
Eric Clapton "I Shot the Sheriff"
Pink Floyd "Breathe"
You should be able to get them all from iTunes or any P2P network. Well, the first two might be a little difficult.
